10. etup procedure that gives around a 2 inch wheel spacing Dawn supplies a triangluar hub spacer to be installed with the Curvetine to keep spacing uniform when switching between Curvetines and rubber wheels You may need to adjust your wheel spacing as necessary specific adjustments not explicitly outlined in this manual may be required for optimum perfor mance The distance between your closing wheels should be about the same as your planting depth Make sure wheels sit on the OUTSIDE of the furrow 2012 Dawn Equipment Company Inc 370 N Cross Sycamore IL 60178 USA HUB ORIENTATION Hubs are handed Due to the special hub shaft threading a left handed hub can only be installed on the left hand side of the tailpiece and a right handed hub can only be installed on the right hand side of the tailpiece Left hand hubs are indentified by an L marked on the hub shafts The right hand hub shaft will show nothing on it 7 Right hand threads for right hand hub Left hand threads for left hand hub WHEEL ORIENTATION Curvetines are directional Due to the modular design of the M Series Curvetine there is only one forged wheel which can be mounted to either the right hand or left hand side of the tailpiece Install Curvetines according to the arrow indicating direction of forward travel Rotational Arrow indicates forward rotation CARE AND MAINTENANCE Use Mobil XP222 or similar to grease hubs yearly
