Apple Mobile Digital Device Installation Instructions for CombiFlash Systems Overview These instructions describe how to install the soft ware license from the USB flash drive supplied with the iPad Support Package part number 60 5237 073 The software license is compatible with CombiFlash Rf 200 Rf 200i Rf 75 and CombiFlash Torrent systems running version 1 8 0 or newer software The software license supports remote control using Teledyne Isco s PeakTrak app on an iPad iPhone and iPod Touch Apple mobile digital devices iOS 4 2 or newer The non transferrable software license is for a single CombiFlash instrument A licensed instrument will support control from multiple mobile digital devices Complete the three main tasks below to successfully control a CombiFlash system using the PeakTrak app 1 Verify that the Combiflash system supports the software license and if not update the software 2 Install the license on the CombiFlash system 3 Install and configure the Peak7rak app on the mobile digital device Remote control requires the CombiFlash system and mobile digital device to share a common network with Wi Fi access in the remote location Refer to the Remote Interfaces section in the system s user manual for details on network configuration CombiFlash Software Verification and Update Verify that the version of Peak7rak software installed on the Combiflash instrument is at least 1 8 02. 1 Select the Help gt About Peak7Trak menu command 2 Read the CombiFlash Rf version number on the first line of the About Peak7rak window o Ifthe version number is 1 8 0 or newer skip the update steps below and proceed with Install Software License o If the version number is older than 1 8 0 con tinue with step 4 or 5 below to update the Combiflash system software for your system 3 Tap the OK button to close the About PeakTrak window 4 TELEDYNE ISCO Everywhereyoulook Instruction Sheet 60 5233 561 Revision A June 27 2012 CombiFlash Rf 200 and Rf 200i systems ONLY a On the CombiFlash Rf 200 or Rf 200i system insert the USB flash drive into the USB port below the display Wait at least 10 seconds before proceeding b Select the Help gt Software Update menu com mand c Tap the top most Install button and follow the instructions on the display d Monitor the Install Notes The system may not report any messages for a few minutes Continue to monitor the latest notes by scroll ing to the end e When the system reports Please close the software update window to complete the update tap the Close button f Follow the displayed instructions to shut down and restart the system g Proceed with the J nstall Software License instructions after the system restarts CombiFlash Rf 75 or CombiFlash Torrent systems You must first move the appropriate software update file to the root directory
3. a soft ware update was required the USB flash drive should already be inserted 2 Select the Help gt Software Update menu com mand 3 The Software Update window reports Mobile device support is available for install Tap the Install button on this line 4 The system will display a message indicating that the update was successful Tap the OK but ton to clear the message 5 Place the Power switch below the LCD display in the Off position and wait one minute or more A CAUTION Always wait at least one minute after placing the Power switch in the Off position Moving the switch to the Off position begins a power down sequence that takes up to one minute to complete If you move the switch to the ON position before the sequence is complete the system may not start up correctly 6 After one minute or more place the Power switch in the On position 7 The system is ready for operation when the main screen is displayed The CombiFlash system will now support the Peak Trak app on an Apple mobile digital device Proceed with installing and configuring the app Install and Configure the PeakTrak App 1 On the Apple mobile digital device visit the App Store and locate the PeakTrak app by Teledyne Isco The App Store requires an Internet connection on the Apple mobile digital device 2 Install the app on your Apple mobile digital device 3 Open the PeakTrak app 4 From the main PeakTrak display ta
