The detailed operations will be described in the Advanced Operations chapter 3 4 2 Manual Capturing You can press RIGHT to manually capture photos or record a video 3 4 3 View Images or Videos There are two ways to view the captured images or videos 1 LCD screen on camera 2 TV monitor which connects to the camera with a TV cable Press OK to view images the latest image will be shown in the LCD screen on the camera or TV monitor Press UP to view the previous image and press DOWN for the next image Please note that a video cannot be played back on the LCD screen and only the thumbnail of the video is showed The detailed operations like deleting images or videos will be described in the Advanced Operations chapter 3 4 4 Send MMS When the MMS Mode is set as Manual you can send the selected photo to the preset address in TEST mode Daily Report and Instant mode are used in the ON mode 3 5 Power Off Slide the power switch to the OFF position to power off the camera Please note that even in the OFF mode the camera still consumes a small amount of battery power Therefore please remove the batteries if the camera is not in use for a length of time Page 7 Covert Special Ops 4 Advanced Operations 4 Advanced Operations From the basic operations of the camera previewed in the previous chapter we know that the camera has three basic operation modes 1 OFF mode Power switch is in the O
8. abled after each triggering in ON mode During this time the PIR of the device will not react to the motion of human or animals The minimum interval is 0 seconds it means the PIR works all the time The maximum interval is 1 hour It means the PIR will be disabled for 1 hour after each triggering The default value is 1 minute Press LEFT or RIGHT to decrease or increase the value by 5s or 1 minute The following shows how to set triggering interval time to 5 Minutes provided that the previous value is 1 Minute a Press MENU to display the setting menu b Press UP or DOWN to select Interval c Press LEFT or RIGHT to decrease or increase to 5 Minutes Page 12 Covert Special Ops 4 Advanced Operations d Press OK to save the current setting and the option will be un highlighted Press MENU to cancel setting and return to info display 4 1 11 Set PIR Sensitivity This parameter defines the sensitivity of the PIR There are three parameters High Normal and Low The default value is Normal The higher degree indicates that the Camera is more easily to be triggered by motion taking more pictures or recording more videos It is recommended to use high sensitivity degree in room or environment with little interference and to use lower sensitivity for outdoor or environment with lots of interference like hot wind smoke near window etc Furthermore the sensitivity of the PIR is strongly related to the temperature Higher temperatur

11. e leads to lower sensitivity Therefore it is suggested to set a higher sensitivity for high temperature environment It is recommended to use the Low setting for temperatures below 35 degrees Fahrenheit and the High setting for temperatures exceeding 95 degrees Fahrenheit The following shows how to set PIR sensitivity as Low provided that the previous option is Normal a Press MENU to display the setting menu b Press UP or DOWN to select Sense Level c Press LEFT or RIGHT to select Low d Press OK to save the current setting and the option will be un highlighted Press MENU to cancel setting and return to info display 4 1 12 Set Timer This parameter defines a certain time lapse in a day when the Camera can be triggered The rest of the time the device is shut off The effective value for the ranges from 00 00 00 to 23 59 59 Please note that the start and stop time can only be effective when the timer is set as On Provided that the camera should work from eight a m to five p m the steps are as following a Press MENU to display the setting menu b Press UP or DOWN to select Timer Switch c Press RIGHT to select On d Press OK to enter into submenu e Press RIGHT to select item press UP or DOWN to change the value until the start time changes to 8 and the stop time changes to 17 f Press OK to save all current setting and the option will be un highlighted Press MENU to return to previous menu 4 1 13 Set

13. eries according to shown polarity A Please unlock the write protect before inserting the SD card A Please insert the SD card when the power switch is in the OFF position before testing the camera The camera has no internal memory for saving images or videos If no SD card is inserted the camera will shut down automatically after a continuous indication sound Ak Please do not insert or take out the SD card when the power switch is in the ON position A It is recommended to format the SD card by the camera when used for the first time Ak The camera will be in USB mode when connected to a USB port of a computer In this case the SD card functions as a removable disk AX In the TEST mode the camera will shut down automatically after 3 minutes if no operation is done Please turn on the power again 1f you want to continue to work with the remote Ak Please ensure there is sufficient power when having a firmware upgrade otherwise the upgrade process could be interrupted If any fault occurs after an improper upgrading process the camera may stop functioning properly Page 5 Covert Special Ops 3 Quick Introductions 3 Quick Start Guide 3 1 Power Supply To supply power for the camera four or eight size AA batteries are needed Open the bottom cover Confirm that the power switch is in the OFF position and pull out the battery pack by pulling the silver handle Load the fully charged batteries into the pack according the polariti
14. es signs shown below Push the battery pack back into to the battery chamber The following batteries with 1 5V output can be used 1 High density and high performance alkaline batteries Recommended 2 Rechargeable alkaline batteries 3 Rechargeable NiMH batteries There are four battery slots Slot 1 and 2 form one group and is marked 1 while slot 3 and 4 form the other group and is marked 2 Only one group of batteries is needed to supply power to the camera but both can be used and is recommended When in a low battery state the camera will be automatically shut down after two indication sounds Please change the batteries at this time If you have set the MMS function it will send you a MMS SMS or Email to indicate the low battery situation 3 2 Insert the SD card and the SIM card Open the bottom cover Insert an SD card into the card slot with unmarked side upwards Please note that the SD card is on the write not locked position otherwise the camera will not function correctly When using MMS SMS E mail functions be sure to insert a SIM card into the SIM card slot with angle in the upper left 3 3 Power on and Enter into the ON Mode Before switching on please pay attention to the following 1 Avoid temperature and motion disturbances in front of the camera such as a big leaf curtain air conditioner air outlet of the chimney and other heat sources to prevent from false triggering 2 The heigh

16. he temperature On high the camera will trigger more easily Therefore we recommend the High setting for temperatures exceeding 95 degrees Fahrenheit Use the Low setting for temperatures below 35 degrees Fahrenheit to reduce false triggers For normal use of the camera the Normal mode is recommended and is the default setting Timer The camera can be set to only record capture at a certain time of the day when set to On The rest of the time the camera will be shut off and will not record any triggers set off by movement This function can be set to Off and will function to the interval settings Flash Range Infrared Flash range 20 ft 6m and 40 ft 12m Page 8 Covert Special Ops MMS Set 4 Advanced Operations The camera sends MMS message through GPRS network so before using this function you need to open GPRS service from your service provider It supports four bands 850MHz 900MHz 1800MHz and 1900MHz Y ou should set the right MMS setting parameters The settings of MMS URL APN IP and Port Please contact the network service provider if you are not familiar with the settings MMS Mode There are 3 MMS modes Manual works in TEST mode Daily report and Instant work in ON mode 1 Manual Choose Manual in Test mode Please ensure a SIM card is inserted properly Please note only photos can be sent in TEST mode Video information can t be sent in TEST mode 2 Daily Repo
