4. e PGM IMB device is used to control and fine tune most of the IMB series of detectors IMB 150RD IMB 800 IMB 100 and etc 1 2 The device allows to control detectors and change parameters in the following modes of operation Display status Selection of detection distance and threshold Frequency adjustment Device calibration Selection of bottom detection speed threshold Selection of top detection speed threshold Control signal gain 1 3 The device draws power directly from the detector 1 4 The device is connected to the detector either through an onboard jack or through a jack in the distribution box e g IMB 150RD using the enclosed cable User Manual Page 3 PGM IMB 1 5 The device is able to function outdoor in temperatures ranging from 20 to 50 C 4 to 122 F and relative air humidity of 95 at 25 C 1 6 The size of the device is 115x65x40mm 4 5 x2 5 x1 6 and the weight without cable is 100gr 0 21lbs The PGM reads current signal values from the processor onboard the receiver of most IMB series and allows recording new values The signals are shown using an LCD display 3 buttons are used to control the device P changes modes In order to use the device it must be connected to an IMB series detector using the supplied cable The LCD screen on the device should read IMB xxx Tester In order to select a mode you must press the P button this i
5. frequency value Altern for an alternative frequency value in case of interference Important If you change the frequency value on the receiver you must change the frequency of the transmitter In order to do so you must connect the wire marked F to the ground wire in case of an older series detector or put a jumper on the F selector inside the casing You will determine which detector you have newer or older simply by the presence of wires our new detectors don t have any wires and come with terminal blocks 1 11 In the Tuning mode you can see the level of received signal in decibels from 2 to 70 For convenience the signal is partially displayed up to 20dB using an indicator The starting point of the indicator changes automatically during the tuning process This mode may have the following MESSAGES Ranget the signal level is out of the working range If a signal value is blinking this means the maximum value was reached if external conditions change problems may occur User Manual Page 5 PGM IMB The maximum tuning mode usage time is 5 minutes When this time elapses the device will automatically quit this mode In order to re enter this mode you must use the P button again In this mode and when you leave and enter the mode data is being written to the non volatile memory of the receiver this is indicated by a flashing rectangle in the lower right corner of the LCD 1 12
