VACUATION SOLUTIONS User instructions EXSIT gt The EXSIT must only be used by trained personnel A gt There should preferably be a minimum of two people present to operate it gt In the case of heavy evacuees three to four people should be available to operate it 1 The EXSIT evacuation chair is clamped against the wall with the slide belts facing towards you Pull the chair towards you with a gentle movement to remove it from the clamps The EXSIT may be under a protective cover If there is a cover this cover should be removed first Once the cover has been removed or if there is no cover you can hold the non slip handle with both hands and pull the chair towards you Pre use checks Check if the wheels are turning freely gt Check if the front wheels are swinging freely gt Check if the seat and back rest are intact Check if safety belts are functioning correctly Check if gliding belts can be moved by hand gt Check if lock pin is blocking folding of the EXSIT gt Check if foot brakes are functioning Check if hand brake is functioning 2 The EXSIT is still folded up and standing on the two rear wheels Now lift the footbrakes from the rear wheels by raising the handles of the brakes using your feet Wheel the chair still folded up to the person needing to be evacuated 3 To prepare the EXSIT for use in a single movement you only have to push the seat downwards unt
