Path CILAYOUTSILayout1 pr Cancel Add Delete Fig 2 Creating CD layout You can create a CD layout as follows 1 If you are not working with Convision Safe1 for the first time and the input window is not displayed select CD Layout under processing in the menu list 2 Enter a name for your layout 3 Create the layout directory For this purpose enter a path directory in the Path line or call a window for saving by clicking on the button at the right Select a directory enter the name of the layout as a new directory and click Save 4 Click Add a new window appears with the question Should the Report Viewer be copied to the CD layout 5 Select yes or no The CD layout will be created accordingly After creating at least 1 layout you can complete a connection to a Convision V610 611 8 Convision Safe1 Working with Convision Safe1 A drop down menu with all CD layouts present is visible at the bottom right in the Convision Safe1 window You can select one of these from the list by clicking on it If you want to create another CD layout or delete a present layout find the entry CD layout under Processing in the window menu bar This also gives you the entry mask for creating or deleting we Note You cannot work with Convision Safe1 without at least one existing layout for this reason you are requested to create a new layout after deleting the last layout 4 3 Connection to a Convision V

After inserting the CD into the drive the browser is started up automatically Read Chapter 5 regarding functions If you do not have a browser on your computer or you want to print or store images individually start the Report Viewer in the CD layout directory 18 Convision Safe1 Working with the Report Viewer 7 Working with the Report Viewer The Report Viewer allows you to view the image files downloaded from the Convision V610 611 without a browser store individual images or entire image sequences as JPEG files and printout individual images You can therefore view a CD with stored image sequences even on a computer without a browser or JVM Java Virtual Machine Starting the Report Viewer Change to a CD layout directory that contains a Report Viewer see Chapter 4 2 Start the program in Windows by double clicking reportviewer exe Under Linux Unix call the program with java reportviewer if necessary also set the Classpath to reportviewer jar java classpath reportviewer jar CLASSPATH reportviewer The variable CLASSPATH must have already been properly set Eg ReportViewer 4 10 May 2000 16 45 10 3 Fig 9 Report Viewer Open button With this button you can open the desired image sequence file This may be located on a finished CD or in a directory in your computer Select one of the CD layouts created with Convision Safe1 the image sequences are located here under 19
6. it can be returned to the original position by clicking again These two options can be advantageous for camera positions deviating from the normal perspective Working with Convision Safe 1 Convision Safe 1 Turbo graphics fast graphics medium graphics and slow graphics Errors can occur in displaying the image sequences depending on the capacity of the video card installed on your computer In this case select the next slower graphics option Repeat this until you obtain error free display of the image sequences The default settings is always turbo graphics the fastest version 4 4 2 Printing To print out the current image select the entry Print in the File menu in the menu bar Then enter a name or description for the image in the window which appears To print out the image without a description click Quit Then select a printer and the settings in the printer menu and start the printout by clicking OK 4 4 3 Selecting Scenes for Downloading Downloading all of the images stored in the Convision V610 611 can require a great deal of time particularly via ISDN Moreover it is not necessary to store all image material which does not have any relevant scenes In order to avoid having to download all of the image material stored you can select important individual scenes There are different possibilities for this purpose Setting Beginning and End 1 Start viewing at any desired speed or define a fixed time

19. ing in progress end still has to be set e blue Scene marked for downloading white Downloading in progress green Downloading completed e red Error All scenes whose download has been completed are then located in the selected layout directory 4 4 5 Renaming and Deleting Scenes The scenes listed in the status display can be renamed or deleted before as well as after downloading 1 For this purpose click the desired scene with the right mouse key A pop up menu then appears from which you can select between Rename event Delete event Delete everything Deletes all scenes in the layout 2 Click the Update button in the button bar below the image to store the changes we Note If a scene is renamed outside of the Convision Safe1 program you see the changed name in the status messages only after the program is started again 13 Working with Convision Safe 1 Convision Safe 1 Downloading Image Sequences All of the scenes indicated as Marked blue camera symbol in the status display can be downloaded from the Convision V610 611 to the computer over the link selected by you by clicking the Download button A directory for the data of this Convision V610 611 is created in the layout directory An Info window shows you the size of the marked files and the time required for the download Calculation of the required time is based on a data transmission rate of 7 Kbytes sec for ISDN 1 channel or 400 Kbyte

21. mage Sequences with Browser The following buttons are available for navigating within the image sequence lt lt pp sni 2 Single image back 3 Single speed back 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 4 Stop 5 Single speed forward 6 Single image forward 7 To end You can increase the size of the display of individual image cutouts by clicking the zoom in button The image can be displayed smaller by clicking the zoom out button If only a section of the image is visible due to zooming the image cutout can be moved by pulling with the mouse button depressed inside the image Creating and viewing a CD Convision Safe1 6 Creating and viewing a CD With Convision Safe1 you can create complete CD layouts on your computer Each of these is intended for producing a CD If you want to record a number of layouts on one CD it is necessary to rename the directories with the data beginning with the second layout You can create a CD containing all the components required for viewing the image sequences using any commercially available CD recording program not included with Convision Safe1 For this purpose select the entire contents of the layout directory for recording we Note The autorun function must be located in the top level directory on the CD for the CD autorun function to be accomplished under Windows automatic start after inserting Therefore copy only the contents and not the CD layout with the directory onto the CD
