26. ets for almost thirty years Oh the baskets moved around and during that time did take the unibody to a shop in Detroit a now defunct Michigan Mustang and had the torsion boxes rocker panels and floor pans replaced But then it sat again finally got serious about it maybe four years ago decided it was either time to get rid of it or get on it So with the help of some friends we dug up all of the parts and pieces from all of the cars I d stripped over the years would have sworn had enough parts to make two or three Mustangs The doors and hood had weakened over the years and were no longer any good pulled out the window mechanics to preserve the Design Center tag Rob Hahn at Maximum Acceleration in South Lyon bead blasted the unibody down to bare metal From there we looked at what we had and decided we needed one more parts car found it in Texas and it turned out that the paint on the body panels front clip and doors was nice enough that decided to save a little money short term and paint the rest of the car to match So for now it s red know the color and the trim are wrong There is still a lot to do am rebuilding the correct motor and trans for the car The one in the pictures gets me around for now There are other corrections to be made under the hood still need to finish restoring and replacing the interior trim Making the modifications to the trim will come with the repaint M
