V Twin Mfg York Kevlar Clutch Pack Kit Fits 41 84 BT W Belt Chain Wet Dry VT Part No 18 0517 This is a custom application and rider safety depends on proper installation This product should only be installed by a knowledgeable and trained motorcycle technician V Twin Mfg accepts no responsibility for improper installation Note Refer to service manual for proper removal of stock clutch drum and hub A hydraulic press may be needed for some of the following steps Installation Instructions 1 Install bearing in bearing retainer install snap ring 2 Install bearing retainer and bearing into clutch drum Using blue loctlte on bearing adapter retainer screws install retainer 3 Press hub into bearing and install snap ring Check that hub spring move freely 4 Using red loctite on threads of mainshaft install clutch basket hub assembly onto the mainshaft tighten clutch hub nut Note If running clutch in a system that is not dry it is recommended that you soak friction plates in primary lubricant for 10 15 minutes 5 Dry plates with lint free cloth Install and alternate the plates Install pressure plate diaphragm spring spring retainer lock tab and retainer ruts in order shown in diagram 6 7 Tighten retainer nuts and fold locktab over nut 8 Install adjuster screw and nut Adjusting screw should be 3 4 to 1 turn loose from slightly seated Bearing Adapter am Retainer s Clutch K Hub BER Ya ED E gt G
