1. e Though our products allow for user friendly installation Supreme Legends USA recommends all installation of our product to be done by a qualified mechanic or individual e Some controls may require additional components not included with your kit Some instruc tions may or may not be included such as installation of a brake line or brake banjo switch minor adjustment of shift rods or installation of a kickstand bracket on 2000 up FXST mod els extended 2 or 3 models will require longer brake lines and possibly longer shift rods e Please remember to use thread locking compound we recommend Loctite blue 242 on any components which could come loose by vibration Be certain to verify your mounting bolts toe and foot pegs Though we apply Loctite to some of our bolts we DO NOT apply any to our pegs so that you may make final clocking comfort adjustments for your particular applica tion DO NOT USE RED e We recommend using an appropriate motorcycle lift when possible Be certain the lift can maintain the weight of your bike without question and be certain to secure the bike as nec essary during installation of the controls e Be certain to dispose of all fluids properly e BE AWARE OF WHICH TYPE OF BRAKE FLUID YOU ARE USING IN YOUR LINES NEVER MIX DOT 4 AND DOT 5 TOGETHER SUPREME LEGENDS USA WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE INCURRED TO YOUR VEHICLE DUE TO INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF PROD UCT OR USE OF INCORRECT FLUID PLEASE C

4. mounting point Tighten bolts to factory torque specifications NOTE Master Cylinder pushrod must be temporarily unbotted to insert upper mounting bolt through mounting plate Step 5 Re attach the factory brake line C amp F models or connect supplied brake line R S amp N models to master cylinder with the supplied brake switch and copper washers Attach included wire connectorsto the factory brake switch wiring that wasclipped in Sep 1 Connect factory wiring to brake switch Step 6 Unbolt master cylinder lid and fill reservoir with bike manufacturer srecommended DOT brake fluid Remember to never reuse or mix old brake fluid and NEVER mix DOT4 and DOTS together Pressure bleed the brake system per your service manual Check fluid level in reservoir periodically and fill asnecessary to maintain full capacity of reservoir WARNING FAILURE TO BLEED ALL THE AIR OUT OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM WILL RESULTIN POOR BRAKING AND OR INCONSISTENT BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE Step 7 Re install master cylinder lid and tighten lid bolts Press brake pedal multiple times to make sure there is consistent pressure Installing the Shift Control Step 1 Remove rear engine appearance cover and set aside forlater re installation Step 2 Loosen lock nuts on factory shift rod Un bolt factory shift controls from motorcycle Remove controls from factory shift rod Sep 3 There is one shift rod and one shift rod exten

8. es in connection with the installation and the use of the product that are not authorized and approved by us Installation Steps Installing the Brake Control Step 1 Clip the wires leading to the factory brake switch and leave the wire hamess hanging for later use Unbolt the factory brake line from the factory master cylinder Make sure to have a containeravailable to catch the drained brake fluid Remove the factory foot brake controls hom and rear brake master cylinder Disconnect the hom from wiring and set aside NOTE Honda VTX 1800 R S amp N models will require the use of the supplied stainless steel braided brake line The use of this line is optional on C amp F models Step 2 Remove the long bolt Arow that securesthe lower engine mount plates bottom hole to the frame You will be mounting the new control at this point and the uppermost hole on the frame NOTE Honda VIX 1800 R S amp N floorboards will unbott from different points on the frame but all Supreme Legends USA kits mountto the same points regardless of the Honda model Sep 3 Re install lower stock control mounting bolt C amp F models through frame Arow and motor mount plate Tighten to factory specifications Sep 4 Install Supreme Legends USA control to top and bottom frame mounts using supplied bolts spacers and factory nuts Use 10mm 1 25x70mm bolt to secure upper mounting location and 10mm 1 25x130mm bolt for lower

12. sion supplied with this kit Determine which rod is correct for your bike and thread the supplied 10mm lock nut onto this piece Now thread the rod onto the supplied rod end and tighten the lock nut Bolt the rod end to the inner face of the shift link with the supplied 5 16 24 x 3 4 button head bolt Thread the shift rod into the shift rod extension Insert the remaining 10mm 1 25x130mm bolts through the mounting plate and bolt controls to the mounting points on the motorcycles frame Step 4 Set the postion of the shift am by adjusting the shift rod slength Tighten lock nuts once you have determined the most comfortable postion if further adjustment is necessary you can loosen the nut on the rear shift ink Arrow removing and rotating forward or backward one to two splines Step 5 Re install factory rear engine appearance cover The control and linkage should look similarto picture at right when you are complete Re Installing the Hom Sep 1 Remove lower left when facing front of bike radiator mounting bolt Step 2 Reposition hom wiring to hang down center left side of motorcycle Be sure to avoid pitching or catching wiring when re routing Re connect wiring to hom Step 3 Insert lower radiator bolt through hom bracket and re secure radiator with hom postion in same position as pictured to right Final Assembly Sep 1 Re Connect battery terminals to battery Step 2 Check to make sure that hom isfunctioning
