It is very impo rtant that the tank material hose and spray gun be cleaned as soon as the spray job is completed l PA NANA 8 9 Turn off the main air supply to the tank Turn adjusting knob on tank regulator counter clockwise until no spring tension is felt Bleed off air in the tank by turning the air outlet valve knurled knob item 34 counter clockwise Wait until all the air has escaped through the valve before removing the pressure tank lid Loosen butterfly nuts tip lid clamps back and tip lid assembly to one side Loosen spray gun air cap retaining ring about three turns Turn on the air supply to the spray gun Place a cloth over the air cap on the gun and pull trigger This will force material back through the hose and back into the tank Empty and clean tank and parts which come in contact with material Use a suitable cleaning material Pour cleaning material into tank 10 Replace lid and tighten lid clamps and butterfly nuts 11 Spray until clean solution appears 12 Repeat steps 4 through 7 Troubleshooting Chart Symptom Symptom cause Corrective action Air leak at tank lid 1 Damaged gasket 1 Replace the gasket 2 Dirt in tank rim 2 Clean tank lid and rim 3 Butterfly nut is not tightened 3 Retighten butterfly nuts No material from 1 Plugged hoses or material 1 Check hoses and pressure tank tube material tube 2 Damaged regulator 2 Check regulator foe diaphragm leaks Replace diaphrag2. 3. ll foreign matter which is likely to enter and clog material passages Always relieve all air pressure in the tank as per pressure relief procedure Loosen butterfly nuts tip lid clamps back and remove lid assembly Pour material into the tank Replace the lid assembly and tighten clamps and butterfly nuts securely If possible the air supply line should pass through an air filter regulator to filter dirt from air and remove entrained water and oil Connect the air supply hose to the air inlet fitting on tank regulator 6 Connect the atomisation air hose for the spray gun to the air outlet fitting which is directly opposite air inlet fitting 7 Connect material hose to the fluid outlet fitting 8 See diagram below for a typical hook up SARE ROL Air Filter Regulator Air Adjusting Valve Optional lt Atomization Air Lsupriv icos Pressure Tank Air Compressor Operation 1 Turn on the main air supply 2 Open air inlet ball valve at tee fitting above air regulator on tank 3 Open ball valve at air regulator on tank Turn adjusting knob clockwise to increase material pressure turn counter clockwise to decrease pressure Maximum tank pressure is 90 PSI 4 Atomisation air for the spray gun can be adjusted at the gun by means of an air adjusting valve or with an additional air regulator which can be provided 5 See spray gun instructions for operation of the gun Maintenance To Clean Equipment
