7. g option is used 2 Information concerning service and maintenance This symbol is activated once the lift unit has been in service for 12 months 3 RiseAtlas is equipped with overload protection which prevents the lift from lifting more than the maximum rated load A symbol for overload and a warning triangle light up and a signal is heard If this symbol is activated the patient is too heavy 4 The book symbol is activated prompting the user to read the manual Often the book sym bol will light up at the same time as another symbol lights up indicating that the user should read the manual before using the lift again 5 RiseAtlas is equipped with night lighting which is activated by pressing and holding the ON button on the handset for 3 seconds The LED lamp lights for 4 min if it is not inactivated via the OFF button on the handset 6 Some HiseAtlas models are equipped with an extra accessory that causes a symbol to light 9 x BE up for 30 sec if the emergenoy stop function is activated This lamp will light up each time the lift unit is switched on via the handset 7 The RiseAtlas T models are equipped with a directional indicator When lateral transfer is gt gt gt activated via the handset arrows indicate the direction of travel 8 The warning triangle is activated prompting the user to read the manual Often the warning triangle will light up at the same time as another symbol lights up indicating that

14. see figure 2 Manual emergency lowering raising Remove the plastic cover on the same side as the emergency stop strap figure 3 On the inside of the cover there is an Allen key Remove the Allen key and insert it into the hole as indicated figure 4 Turn it clockwise to lower and counter clockwise to raise the slingbar Always ensure that emergency lowering is done in an appropriate location NOTE Lowering is very slow Re setting manual emergency lowering raising Contact an authorized Handicare service technician Do not use the lift unit Allen key MANUAL SystemRoMedic Trouble shooting If lifting motion cannot be activated check to ensure that the emergency stop is not activated on certain models the emergency stop symbol lights up that the lift unit is switched on ON via the handset a signal is heard that the handset is properly connected and pressed in securely disconnect and then replace it and press it in securely that the lift unit is not in the charging position the lift unit is blocked for use when it is in the charging position that the battery is charged that the charger has a power supply the charging lamp on the charger unit should light up when the lift unit is placed in the charging position that load is applied to the lift strap If the lift unit is not working properly contact your Handicare dealer If the lift cannot be run all the way up t
15. st be activated via the green ON button before use Activate start the lift unit The lift is switched on via the green ON button on the hand control A battery symbol lights up for about 2 seconds to indicate battery status If the lamp does not light check to ensure that the emergency stop is not activated Active safety HiseAtlas has a built in strap guard which prevents the lift from being manoeuvred up or down unless the lift is loaded with at least 2 kg The purpose of this safety feature is to prevent the strap from being run in and out without load which may lead to shorter drops when the lift is subsequently used HiseAtlas stops automatically when the lift strap is not loaded e g when the slingbar is lowered to a bed If this happens the strap must be stretched in order to be run down or up If the lift strap becomes twisted during lifting RiseAtlas switches off auto matically and can only be run down To save battery charge the lift unit switches off automatically after about 4 minutes of inactivity 10 MANUAL SystemRoMedic Control panel On the control panel on the underside of the lift unit there are several symbols The symbols light up when a function is activated More information on each function is given below and under Trouble shooting 1 Battery status is indicated for 2 sec when a lift with end of rail charging is activated and for 4 min if the in rail chargin
16. the user should read the manual before using the lift again Normally a technician must be con tacted when this symbol is activated Preventative service maintenance The symbol for service maintenance lights up automatically when the lift unit has been in service for 12 months Contact an authorized Handicare service technician for maintenance and resetting SystemRoMedic MANUAL 11 Emergency stop To activate emergency stop Pull the red emergency stop strap firmly figure 1 and then release To reset Press the emergency stop strap s button back into place figure 2 If the emergency stop strap is held down constantly electrical emergency lowering will be When the strap is released the lift will resume the emergency stop position Electrical emergency lowering If the handset is not functioning electrical emergency lowering can be activated by holding the emergency stop strap down diagram 1 Lower the patient to a safe height and location Electrical emergency lowering may only used if the handset is malfunctioning The electrical emergency lowering device feeds out the lift strap for as long as the emergency stop strap is held down Ensure that the lowering motion is activated Otherwise electrical emergency lowering must be stopped Always ensure that emergenoy lowering is done in an appropriate location To re set Press the plastic button that holds the red strap in place upward until it clicks
