Store the chrome side covers in a safe place away from the work area Install Headset Adapter Bracket Mount the headset adapter bracket to left frame cross strut with the supplied 6 x 15mm hex flange screw Torque Headset Adapter Bracket 5 9 7 8 N m 52 69 in Ib NOT ft lb NOTICE Over torquing the headset adapter bracket screw can result in damage to the frame Use a torque wrench during assembly Re Install Removed Parts Install the chrome cover side covers Install the trunk Install Protective Strip Install protective strip onto edge of chrome cover below bracket to prevent cables from damaging the surface Install Driver Headset Adapter Cable Install the driver headset adapter cable to the front mounting point on headset adapter bracket using supplied 6 x 15mm button head screw and anti rotation washer The flange of the anti rotation washer should be pointed outward Torque Headset Adapter Bracket 5 9 7 8 N m 52 69 in Ib NOT ft lb if K10400 035 Passenger Headset Adapter Cable sold separately is to be installed install it to the rear mounting point on the headset adapter bracket in the method described above Route the connector end of the cable s as shown in the photo and connect to the vehicle wiring harness at the provided connectors Connect the Driver Headset Adapter Cable connector to the black vehicle plug The grey vehicle plug is only used when a
