10. with the Type Approval Number For Installation Forms see Appendices 15 6 and 15 7 STM0018 VETUS DIESEL SERVICE PROCEDURES MANUAL 11 99 REV 07 00 07 01 16 10 Guarantee Claim Procedure Before you start with any repairs of a significant financial amount 250 or more the VETUS DIESEL Service Department must be informed 10 1 Engines and Parts Guarantee claims can only be submitted on the relevant Claim form The form must be sent within three weeks of the repair to the VETUS DIESEL Service Department These forms must be completed properly If not they will be returned by the next post Only original forms will be processed Copies or faxes will not be accepted Claims via E mail service vetus nl are prefered If reimburse ment for parts is agreed VETUS DIESEL becomes the owner of the faulty part Faulty parts should be stored for 3 months after the date of sending the guarantee claim The Service Department may request a return of the parts during this period Original BOSCH parts as used on Vetus Deutz engines should always be returned to the VETUS DIESEL Service Department Parts which are returned must be labelled with the information label STM 8888 which you will find in the Appendix These labels are provided free by the Service Department Travel costs for engine repairs will be reimbursed to a maximum of 200 km This can only be changed on the writ ten permission from the VETUS DIESEL Service Department Invo

20. international reply number in Schiedam Claims can only be made on the Guarantee when the engine and installation has been found to be in order See appendix 15 6 and 15 7 9 6 Commissioning The Guarantee term with maximum storage time starts at the moment that an engine is invoiced by VETUS A claim on the Guarantee can only be made when from the moment the engine is ready for operation and VETUS Schiedam has received the completed Installation Form The engines are commissioned for operation by the Dealer or Original Equipment Manufacturer The Installation Form and Service and Guarantee Manual should be completed during the commissioning The Installation Form should be completed and sent to the Service Department VETUS DIESEL Schiedam post free in the relevant envelope with reply number Who gets which copy is stated on the copies The Dealer completes the VETUS DIESEL Installation Form processes the administration and sends the original to VETUS DIESEL within 2 weeks If any faults are found the report is sent at once ONLY COMPLETED INSTALLATION FORMS CAN BE ACCEPTED Type Approval With the serial application of engines OEMs can request a Type Approval from the Importer In this case a statement of the approval number and any different data is sufficient For Type Approval the importer uses an existing Installation Form in which the space for the reference number at the top right is filled in with TYPE APPROVAL
