INSTRUCTION MANUAL CURACEM Curing Cabinet and Water Refrigerating Unit pag 6 CONTROLS Mod 65 L0013 D 86 D2030 Rev 1 MANUALE D ISTRUZIONI 04 12 2006 6 Preliminary operations Firstly check that the machine has been positioned respecting the indications given in chapter 4 Installation When the machine is despatched by Controls srl it is ready for use and requires only a few preliminary operations as described in this charter Check that the mains supply is compatible with that of the machines see Chapter 2 Technical data 6 1 6 2 OUT OUTLET I 3 4 male 6 3 Connect the refrigeration group 86 D2030 to the water mains using a suitable tube which can stand a pressure of up to 5 bar not included The input connector is equipped with rubber hose holder ext dia 12 mm int dia 8 mm Connectthe refrigeration group 86 D2030 to the cabinet 65 L0013 D with a suitable tube possibly insulated The output from the refrigeration group and the electro valve input of the cabinet are for 8 mm dia hose To access the input electro valve connection remove the protective cover on the lower right hand of the cabinet This cover is fixed with 2 screws on the upper face which are easily accessible IN VALVE OUT TO CABINET IN FROM WATER MAIN Connector for 8 mm hose Quick conpling for 8 mm hose Rubber hose holder 12 mm dia Min Pressure regulator do not change the factory setting2. Installazione L armadio 65 L0013 D pu essere sollevato o movimentata con muletto macchina pallettizzata La distanza frontale tra i 2 supporti angolari sufficiente per alloggiare le forche di quasi tutti i tipi di muletti macchine pallettizzate non necessario infrapporre un pallet per eseguire le operazioni di movimentazione In ogni caso una volta aperto l imballo la movimentazione dell armadio va fatta con particolare cautela Va collocata in ambiente chiuso e correttamente illuminato L ambiente di lavoro deve essere sufficientemente aerato poco polveroso e con temperatura compresa nei campi indicati nella tabella dei Dati tecnici vedi Paragrafo 2 Attenzione Le macchine 65 L0013 D e 86 D2030 non possono assolutamente funzionare con temperatura ambiente inferiore a 0 C perch si verificherebbe il congelamento dell acqua Nell eventualit che le macchine non siano utilizzate e vengano posizionate in ambienti dove latemperatura potrebbe scendere sotto il valore di 0 C consigliabile effettuare lo svuotamento delle vasche dell acqua Attenzione Le macchine non sono progettate per il funzionamento in aree classificate pericolose esplosive contemplate nella normativa CEI 64 4 Le macchine non possono lavorare in ambiente esplosivo e corrosivo Le macchine non sono idonee a lavorare all aperto o in luoghi non protetti da agenti atmosferici INSTRUCTION MANUAL CURACEM Curing Cabinet and Water Refrigeratin

To start up the unit 7 1 7 2 Start the refrigeration group 86 D2030 via the mains switch and switch on the A R switch on the control panel of the cabinet 65 L0013 D Description of commando of refrigeration group 86 D2030 Detail of command panel of refrigeration group The button on the left acts as the main switch and is on when the led back lit The thermo regulator checks the temperature of the output water Description of command of cabinet 65 L0013 D GENERAL WOR e di Ges Detail of cabinet control panel The panel is mounted on the front right hand upper corner of the cabinet The GENERAL switch turns on the machine and the thermo regulator The two switches AIR and WATER command respectively AIR the submersed pump that pumps water to the atomisers WATER the resistance to heat the water and the electro valve for the input of refrigerated water into the tank The correct sequence of switching on as explained above is GENERAL then WATER and lastly AIR Three red leds in correspondence with each switch indicate the current status of each command that is ON led lit or OFF led off Attention The WATER switch allows the turning on of the heater and opening of the electro valve but it is the thermo regulator that effectively commands the activation of both so as to maintain the temperature at 20 C Open the air line and adjust input pressure to approx 1 bar INSTRUCTION MANUAL CURACEM Curing Cabi

18. ce the cabinet has been removed from its packing it should be moved with the utmost care It should be placed in a closed ambient which is correctly illuminated The working ambient should be sufficiently aired relatively dust free and with a temperature within the range indicated in the table of Technical Data above see chapter 2 Important The 65 L0013 D and 86 D2030 can in no way operate in an ambient temperature of below 0 C as the water would freeze If the machines are not to be used and stored in an ambient which is likely to have a temperature of below 0 C we recommend that the water tank is emptied Important The machines are not designed to operate in areas classified as dangerous explosive as defined by CEI 64 4 The machines cannot operate in explosive or corrosive ambient The machines are not suitable for outdoor use or in positions not protected against atmospheric conditions Ensure that the electrical mains supply is compatible with that required by the machine see chapter 2 Technical data The refrigeration group 86 D2030 creates an air flow at approx 40 C which may cause problems within the laboratory where itis installed therefore we recommend that it is installed outside the laboratory or in a separate room In any case it should be protected against atmospheric agents and installed in an environment which does not fall below 0 C INSTRUCTION MANUAL Armadio di stagionatura CURACEM e Unit per la pag

40. ral Description and Reference Standards The 65 L0013 D is a climatic chamber used for the standard curing of samples of concrete cement and similar materials in accordance with EN 196 1 cement and EN 12390 2 concrete It can also be used for other materials if this is expressly approved beforehand by Controls srl The working principle is as follows The temperature is maintained constant via water kept at a controlled temperature which is atomised in the chamber For water atomisation an external source of compressed air is required for example our compressor 65 L0013 D1 This water is taken from an internal tank with a capacity of approx 701 within which is a heating resistance and is fed by mains water which is cooled by an external refrigeration group 86 D2030 In its stable condition the internal temperature is 20 1 C and the atomisation of the water keeps the humidity above 95 There is no water consumption at this stage since the hydraulic circuit is closed When it is necessary to cool the chamber the water circuit is opened and the mains water suitably cooled by the 86 D2030 unitis fed into the tank When the chamber must be heated this is made via the heating resistance in the tank The refrigeration group 86 D2030 is not required if there is a mains supply that is continuously available at a temperature of approx 8 C 10 C The humidity is maintained at above 95 thanks to the continuous atomisation of the water within t
