9. IAS AI Anon Member Involved with Alateen Service To attend please let me know that you are interested For the training workshop in San Antonio we can make arrangements to ride together Part of the certification process means attending at least one District Meeting and one District Alateen Sponsor Meeting per year These both can be fulfilled at the same District Meeting However at the July District Meeting there may not be a District Sponsor Meeting This all depends on whether the Delegate gives her report at our July District Meeting By the time this newsletter is published this years Alateen Conference should have already happened It will be interesting to hear from the Georgetown Alateen Group who will be the host Also by the time this newsletter is published the Spring Area Assembly should have already taken place At that Assembly the term Experienced Sponsor should have been defined and approved This may impact on any of us who are current Alateen Sponsors Hopefully if you are an Alateen Sponsor you have been talking to your Al Anon Group Representative about the importance of this subject And if you are also an Al Anon Group Representative you went to the Assembly to exercise your responsibility having a voice and vote Thank you again for your service to the Al Anon program especially those who are able to be part of the Alateen service structure Steve J NEWSLETTER
