14. ilate or incinerate them Do not expose them to heat or store CO cartridges at tempera tures above 120 F 48 9 C e Put the airgun ON SAFE see Section 2A e Make sure the airgun is UNLOADED and POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION e Holding the airgun as shown slide the grip straight back and remove Fig 3 e Turn the piercing knob left until it is all the way down e Insert the new CO cartridge into the airgun with the small neck of the CO cartridge inserted first and Up e Finger tighten the cartridge piercing knob by turning it right If you hear a hissing sound when piercing the gun try tightening the screw more e Line the grip up with the groove on the frame and slide the grip forward to close e To make sure the cartridge has been pierced point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take OFF SAFE see Step 2B and pull the trigger elf the airgun does not make a popping noise after pulling the trigger the CO is not being discharged In that event put the airgun ON SAFE Step 2A remove the grip and tighten a 1 4 turn Replace the grip e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take OFF SAFE See Step 2B and pull the trig ger NOTE We recommend the use of Crosman Powerlet CO cartridges They are made to fit your airgun Other brands of CO cartridges may not fit properly and if you force them into place it may result in injury to you or damage to your airgun Never try to force any CO cartridge into o

16. nd Firing Safely e You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes e Always point your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water The BBs may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit e DO NOT re use BBs because they could possibly cause damage to your airgun e Your airgun is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use Always remember to place your target carefully THINK about what you will hit if you miss the target e Your airgun is correctly aimed when the front sight blade is position exactly in the notch of the rear sight The top of the front sight blade should be even with the top of the notch in the rear sight The bulls eye should appear to rest on the top of the front sight Fig 5 e When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the target is clear take the airgun OFF SAFE section 2A aim and pull the trigger to fire 6 Removing a Jammed BB Follow the instructions under section 4B If you are not able to unarm your airgun by following the unloading pro cedure take no further action An Authorized Service Station will unjam your airgun at no cost during the warranty period 7 Maintaining Your Airgun e Putting 1 drop of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil on the tip of every CO cylinder will help to maintain your airgun DO NOT use petroleum distilla

20. r out of place Piercing Lever Do not store your airgun with a CO cartridge in it If you know you will not be using your airgun for an extended period of time empty the CO cartridge and remove it from the airgun Step 3B This is very important to remember as it will prolong the longevity of your airgun seals B Removing CO Cartridge MATa NIINE Keep hands away from escaping CO gas It can cause frostbite if allowed to come in contact with skin Always make sure the CO cartridge is empty before attempt ing to remove it from the airgun by slowly turning the knob counter clockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of CO gas e Put the airgun ON SAFE section 2A e Make sure the airgun is UNLOADED section 4B and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION e Line the grip up with the groove on the frame and slide the grip forward to close e Use one hand to hold the airgun at the top of the receiver being sure not to cover the muzzle e Loosen the cartridge piercing knob by slowly turning it left See fig 3 allowing any remaining gas to escape e Drop out the CO cartridge e Tighten the cartridge piercing knob enough so that the grip will pass over it e Slide the grip forward to close Loading and Unloading BBs Loading BBs e Make sure the airgun is ON SAFE See Step 2A and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION e Remove the magazine by pressing on the magazine release button on the left side of the airgun e P
