1. Positionnez le solin pour que le centre de son ouverture corresponde avec le centre de la chemin e Dessin 1 l aide d un marqueur tracez le contour int rieur de la base du solin sur le toit Dessin 1 Retirez le solin et faites une ouverture dans la t le ainsi que dans le toit en suivant la marque Dessin 2 Assurez vous d avoir 2 de d gagement entre la chemin e et tous les mat riaux combustibles Note une ouverture rectangulaire est galement ad quate Faites une fente dans la partie sup rieure du trou d j d coup parall lement la cr te du toit La fente devrait tre d une largeur de 1 8 centr e dans la partie sup rieure du trou Voir Tableau 1 pour la longueur appropri e Glissez le haut du solin dans la fente et laissez le bas du solin pendre sur le toit Dessin 3 Tracez le profile des rainures du toit sur la partie verticale de la base du solin et entaillez le solin pour qu il corresponde au toit Dessin 4 Scellez le cot du solin avec un scellant de cat gorie ext rieure Dessin 4 Attachez le solin au toit avec un minimum de 6 vis bois 8 scell es avec des rondelles de m tal caoutchouc ou du silicone Dessin 4 Installez le collet de solin selon la proc dure d crite dans le manuel d installation de chemin e Excel ICC Une roulette de calfeutrage ECR ou du silicone peut tre utilis pour sceller le collet de solin la chemin e EMFA B C 04 04 Flashing ce2. T EMFA B C METAL ROOF FLASHING CHIMNEY Installation Instructions Align the centerline of the flashing with the centerline of the chimney Drawing 1 Trace a line on the metal roof corresponding to the interior of the flashing cone Drawing 1 Remove the flashing and cut a hole in the metal roof deck and roof sheeting following the line Drawing 2 Make sure to provided 2 clearance between the chimney and combustibles material Note a rectangular opening would also be adequate Cut a slot in the metal roofing at the top peak side of the hole and parallel with the peak The slot should be approximately 1 8 wide centered over the hole See Table 1 for adequate length Slide the top of the flashing into the slot and let the bottom of the flashing rest on the roof Drawing 3 Trace the profile of the roof ridges on to the vertical portion of the flashing base and then notch the flashing to correspond with the roof Drawing 4 Seal the side flanges of the flashing with an external grade sealant Drawing 4 Fasten the flashing to the roof with a minimum of 6 x 8 wood screws sealed with metal rubber washers or silicone Drawing 4 Install the storm collar according to ICC Excel installation manual Caulking roll ECR or silicone can be used to seal the collar to the chimney El EMFA B C k Solin ajustable pour toit de m tal CHEMINEES Instructions d installation Les leaders en technologie
