FEED SPEED REDUCED N and Emergency stop active Solve the problem causing the emergency stop for example by indicator lights come on reducing the feed speed or using a different cut off wheel then release the emergency stop Cutting motor overloaded due to Open the protection guard and let heavy use the cutting motor cool down for about 5 10 min Machine Problems The cut off wheel does not rotate The protection guard may be open Press the safety guard completely down If this does not help call a Struers service technician Chamber light does not work Replace the lamp Remove the plastic cap to gain access to the fluorescent lamp Pull out the lamp and replace it Water leaking Leak in a Recirculation Cooling Unit Check the hose and tighten the hose hose clamp Water overflow in the cooling water Remove the excess water in the tank tank Workpieces or cutting chamber Insufficient additive in cooling fluid Use Struers Additive for cooling rusty fluid in the cooling water at the correct concentration Check with a refractometer Follow the instructions in the Maintenance Section The protection guard is left closed Leave the protection guard open to after use let the cutting chamber dry Protection guard window blurred Insufficient cleaning Clean with mild soapy water do not use the cleaning hose Quick clamping device unable to The quick clamping device is not Adjust the screw underneath the

Press 4 FORWARDS to position the cutting table and the workpiece just in front of the cut off wheel Close the protection guard Set the desired feed speed Press the AUTO mode key to select AUTO mode Press START to start the machine The cut off wheel starts rotating and the cooling water is turned on The cutting table moves forward toward the cut off wheel at the pre set feed speed E Ifthe machine has been stopped with the STOP key the cutting table will stay in position To return the cutting table to its start position press BACKWARDS Y once Struers recommends manually lifting the cut off wheel away before the cutting table is moved back Please note that the protection guard has to be closed in order to carry out this operation If the protection guard has been opened press and hold the BACKWARDS key Y to move the cutting table to its start position m Ifthe cutting table reaches the back of the cutting chamber during the cutting process the cut off wheel automatically stops and the cutting table returns to its start position Note the cutting table can be positioned with FORWARDS Z and BACKWARDS Y If the feed speed 1s set too high the yellow FEED SPEED REDUCED indicator A above the feed speed control flashes and the feed speed is automatically reduced by 10 Discotom 5 can repeat this reduction up to 5 times Once the workpiece has been cut the operator can reduce the feed speed using the feed speed control

Trennscheibe auswechseln Trennkammer reinigen 28 Discotom 5 Gebrauchsanweisung Schnellinformation Werkst ck zwischen Spannbacken und Anschlag einlegen Spannbacken fest gegen das Werkst ck schieben und die Schnell spannvorrichtung mit dem Verriegelungsgriff arretieren Werkst ck einspannen Trennscheibe so positionieren daf die Trennung beginnen kann Verriegelung der Trennscheibe in dieser Position mit dem schwarzen Verriegelungshebel rechts an der Maschine Trenntisch mit den Tasten 4 VORWARETS und R CKW RTS in Position bringen Schutzhaube sorgf ltig schlie en Vorschubgeschwindigkeit einstellen und Taste AUTO dr cken Trennvorgang mit der Taste START beginnen Nach dem Trennvorgang geht der Trenntisch automatisch in seine Startposition zur ck Schutzhaube ffnen und Schnellspannvorrichtung l sen Werkst ck entnehmen Rechts am Discotom 5 den Verriegelungshebel der Trennscheibe l sen so da sie sich frei bewegt Werkst ck einspannen Trenntisch unter der Trennscheibe positionieren Falls Betriebsart AUTO eingeschaltet ist diese abschalten Taste START dr cken Trennscheibe absenken bis sie das Werkst ck ber hrt Mit geeigneter Andruckkraft das Werkst ck durchtrennen Lastanzeige im gr nen oder am Anfang des gelben Bereichs halten Zum Ende der Trennung hin den Andruck verringern Schutzhaube ffnen und Schnellspannvorrichtung l sen Werkst ck entnehmen Mit dem schwarzen Verr
