72. des and of the back panel The integrity of the machine and compliance with the standards of the relevant systems must be checked at least once a year by gualified personnel With the main switches turned off the terminal strip connected to the line cable the fuses and the noise suppressor stay energised in any case Before starting any maintenance operations reguiring parts of the unit to be removed the machine must always be switched off The operations described below must be carried out only by personnel who have the specific knowledge of the machine functioning from a point of view of electrical safety and health regulations INTRODUCTION To ensure correct operation for a long period the machine must be subjected to regular maintenance The following sections contain the procedures and the maintenance schedule which are only a generalindication as they greatly depend on the operating conditions e g water hardness environmental humidity and temperature type of product used etc The procedures described in this chapter are not exhaustive of all maintenance operations to be carried out More complex operations e g boiler descaling should be carried out by qualified technicians only having specific knowledge of the machine To prevent oxidation or the action of chemical agents the stainless steel and varnished surfaces should be kept clean by using mild detergents solvents must not be used Under no circumst
