It is important to remember the efficiency of a dehumidifier will be effected influenced by the rate at which new moisture is allowed to infiltrate the same space area To maintain efficiency the dehumidifier must be operated in an enclosed area Keep all doors and windows closed CASTER INSTALLATION This unit includes provisions for the installation of four Fig 1 4 swivel casters Installation of the casters is simple phillips screwdriver required and must be installed by the customer 1 Lay the dehumidifier on it s back 2 Remove the casters from the accessories bag 3 Inser one corner of the caster bracket into the caster bracket indent located at each of the 4 corners of the base See Fig 1 Align the hole in the caster bracket with the hole provided in the base opposite indent and secure with phillps screw Repeat this procedure for all remaining casters 4 Return the unit to the upright position IMPORTANT Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 15 minutes before starting the unit 5 Connect the power cord to a properly grounded polarized 120Volt A C electrical outlet For your safety please refer to grounding instructions on page 3 6 Make sure the water tank is properly installed inside cabinet If the red water full ight illuminates when the unit is plugged in the water tank is not properly installed CARACT RISTIQUES Clavier de commande tactile lectronique

19. als to clean this unit as these substances will damage deform both plastic components and luster finish 2 Never attempt to clean the unit by pouring water directly over any of the surface areas as this will cause deterioration of electrical components and wiring insulation 3 Use only a mild dishwashing detergent lukewarm water and a soft cloth to wipe the exterior surface of the unit Direct Drain Feature This dehumidifier is inclusive of a direct drain feature located at the rear of the cabinet NOTE The drain hose is not included with the unit Use a standard garden hose with an outside diameter of 3 4 and inner diameter of 1 2 This type of hose can be purchased at any local hardware store The direct drain feature is intended for use in basements inclusive of a floor drain only NOTE Do not attempt to operate the direct drain feature using drain stem pipes above ground level Fig 3 Rear View CONNECTING THE DIRECT DRAIN 1 Remove drain cover and water tank at the rear of the unit See Fig 3 2 Cut drain hose to required iength to suit your needs You do not need any fittings on either end of the drain hose Insert one end the of garden hose directly into the direct drain opening and push firmly onto the drain nipple until it stops Note this connection requires a pressure fit application only Make sure the hose is seated all the way back on the drain connection nipple 3 Re install the water

40. under the fan only setting this is normal AIR FILTER Your dehumidifier features a removable Air Filter This filter is located at the rear of the unit behind rear drill direcily above the water tank compartment The air filter plays an important role in helping to reduce minimize dust dirt particles from your surrounding environment A blocked clogged air filter reduces air intake impacting negatively on operating efficiency To maintain maximum operating efficiency The filter must be checked and cleaned regularly every 2 weeks More frequent cleaning may be required depending upon indoor air quality IMPORTANT Never operate the unit without the air filter in place AIR FILTER REMOVAL i You must first remove the water tank from the cabinet to access the air filter See Fig 2 2 Grasp the filter handle push away from you and pull down at the same time The filter will slide out easily w Clean the filter thoroughly using vacuum cleaner or wash using luke warm water and mild detergent Dry thoroughly before re installing S To re install the air fitter slide the filter back inside the tracks and push upwards until it snaps locks into position Fig 2 Rear View Care and Maintenance CAUTION Before attempting to clean and or service this unit always disconnect the power supply cord from the electrical power supply outlet 1 DO NOT use gasoline benzene thinner or any other chemic
