1. kontaktieren Sie unsere Serviceabteilung Die Programmierung des Sendemoduls muss mit abgenommener R ckwand erfolgen um Zugang zum Programmierschalter zu haben und die LED zu sehen Anmerkung Die GRAUPNER I iFS EVO Sendemodule sind ab Werk so programmiert dass f r einen Betrieb in Europa keine Programmierungen vorgenommen werden m sssen Montieren Sie die Senderr ckwand wieder Die Verbindungskabel und der Stecker ber hren die R ckwand des Senders so dass ein gewisser Druck beim SchlieBen des Geh uses normal ist Dies ist normal und f hrt zu keinem Problem 12 Beachten Sie dass die Antenne z B fiir einen Reichweitentest sorgfaltig abgenommen werden muss Ziehen Sie die Antenne vorsichtig nach oben halten Sie den Antennenanschlu fest und schrauben Sie dann die Antenne ab Sollte sich die Antenne nicht abschrauben lassen kann der Antennenfu komplett herausgezogen werden aber nicht mehr als 2 3 cm Dadurch l t sich der Antennenfu besser halten Sollten Sie eine festere L sung anstreben l t sich die Mutter am Antennenfu anziehen so dass sich der Gummiring weiter ausdehnt und kr ftiger im Antennen schacht h lt Der Antennenfu wird dann nicht mehr an der originalen Position einrasten sondern im oberen Teil des Schachtes Bild 16 GRAUPNER iFS Sendemodul fertig zum Einsatz All material including but not limited to photographs text and concepts contained in this manual is copyright 2006 2007 Di2. Dr cken Sie den weissen Stecker in die Buchse auf der Hauptplatine Achten Sie auf korrekten Sitz und die richtige Polung gem Bild 11 und 12 Bild 12 Verbindung zwischen GRAUPNER iFS Modul und Hauptplatine Dr cken Sie nun vorsichtig die Sendeplatine auf das Hakenband Durch sanftes Verdrehen der Platine verhakt sich das Band f r einen festen Sitz Bild 13 und 14 rri oS s f E je p HL t Kar Bild 13 Das GRAUPNER iFS Modul wird an Ort und Stelle gedr ckt Bild 14 Installiertes GRAUPNER iFS Modul Verlegen Sie das Antennenkabel in einer Schleife unterhalb der Ladebuchse Beachten Sie Bild 15 Bild 15 Fertige Installation des GRAUPNER iFS Sendemoduls Bemerkung Wenn Sie wieder auf Ihr bisheriges HF Modul zur ckr sten m chten vergessen Sie nicht die Antenne anzuschliessen Anderenfalls k nnte ein Defekt an Ihrem Sender auftreten Das Hakenband kann in diesem Fall montiert bleiben Der Einbau ist nun fertig Nach Einschalten Ihes EVO Senders sollte die LED kurz orange rot und gr n gleichzeitig auf leuchten und dann anfangen rot zu blinken Falls dies nicht der Fall sein sollte schaltten Sie den Sender wieder aus und vergewissern Sie sich dass das Verbindungskabel nicht falsch herum eingesteckt worden ist In diesem Fall tritt kein Schaden auf stecken Sie das Kabel einfach richtig herum wieder ein und schalten Sie erneut ein Sollte die LED nicht wie beschrieben leuchten

RAUPNERIIFS RF module See figure 9 93 00000580 Figure 9 Installing the Velcro on the iFS RF module 20 Attach the other hooked piece of Velcro to the place where the RF module will be mounted See Figures 10 for details s gt lt m a c Urt Figure 10 Installing Velcro in original RF board location Lay out the board so that the cable is not twisted and can be routed with no kinks You may have to rotate the antenna to twist the cable to proper orientation Note the antenna body will turn so you will need to rotate the base of the antenna to rotate the wire With the cable routed properly position the GRAUPNER iFS RF module over the original RF module location Insert the white connector into the original RF port connector and press firmly rocking the connector back and forth until it is seated fully Notice the orientation of this connector See Figures 11 and 12 for details 21 Figure 12 White connector fully inserted into module port 22 Now carefully press the module into place on to the receiving Velcro You can wiggle the module to make sure it is seated properly and will not detach during normal use See Figures 13 and 14 for details Figure 14 GRAUPNER iFS RF module installed 23 Route the antenna cable around the charging jack tucking it neatly out of the way See Figures 15 for the final installation result Figure 15 GRAUPNER iFS RF module installat

7. ion complete Note f you switch back to a stock RF module remember to re install the antenna or damage may result to the transmitter You do not need to remove the Velcro to re install the stock RF module nstallation is now complete Turning on the power to your EVO radio now should cause the LED on the GRAUPNERIIFS RF odule to light up briefly orange red and green at the same time and then begin flashing red If his does not occur turn off the radio and make sure that you do not have the connector installed ackwards No damage will be done if you did just reverse it and try powering on again If the ED does not light up at all please contact our Service Dept for more information CS 3 All programming must be done with the back of the transmitter off due to the location of the push utton switch and LED on the GRAUPNER iFS RF module Note The GRAUPNER iFS RF modules for the Multiplex EVO are factory defaulted for European operation so that there is no need for any programming c Attach the back of the case The GRAUPNER iFS RF module s RF port connector and wiring will touch the back of the case There may be some pressure on the connector while the case is closed and locked This is normal and will not be a problem 24 Please note that care must be taken when removing the antenna for range testing Pull the antenna upwards unlocking it and grab the base and unscrew it If the antenna will not unscrew you can pull

14. up See Figures 2 3 and 4 for details Save the board in case you need it in the future It will not be re installed with this upgrade Figure 3 Grasp each side of the RF board Figure 4 Remove RF board by pulling straight up 2 Installing the GRAUPNER iFS RF Module Note During the installation of this system it is very important that you do not disconnect the antenna lead from the RF board There is no reason to disconnect this lead during the installa tion Remove the stock antenna by sliding the antenna downward towards the bottom of the transmitter and remove the antenna from the tube See Figure 5 for details Figure 5 Removing the stock antenna Carefully slide the GRAUPNER iFS antenna up the stock antenna tube Make sure that the top piece that pivots is positioned so that the antenna will pass through the top hole Figure 6 Once the antenna tip is past the hole and visible grab the antenna and slowly pull it until it locks in place Figure 7 Pulling the GRAUPNER iFS antenna through top It is possible to pull it too far and have the antenna come out That is not a problem just push it back in until it locks in place There is a position with a definite notch that you can see and feel See Figure 8 for details Figure 8 Locking the GRAUPNER iFS antenna in place Included with your package you will find matching Velcro pairs Attach the fuzzy side of the Velcro to the G
