E ETENDUE S REMARQUE La pr sente approbation ne vise que les compteurs dont la concep tion la composition la construction et le rendement sont identiques en tout point ceux qui sont d crits dans la documentation re ue et pour lesquels des chantillons repr sentatifs ont t fournis par le requ rant aux fins d valuation conform ment aux articles 13 et 14 du R glement sur l inspection de l lectricit et du gaz Ce qui suit est une br ve description de leurs principales caract ristiques CCA 873 4 82 SUMMARY DESCRIPTION The Daniel Senior Orifice Fitting is a cast and machined pipe fitting which consists of an upper and a lower chamber It is designed to facilitate orifice plate exchange without interruption to the gas flow through the pipe line The two compartments may be isolated from each other by a sliding gate The plate holder has been machined as a rack so that it may be driven up or down by a series of two hand crank driven pinions One pinion drives the plate from one chamber to the other and the second pinion drives the plate up and out of the fitting The sequence of hand crank operations is critical SO a diagram and instructions are provided on each housing In operation the orifice plate is sealed in the lower chamber so that it transects the pipe line To remove the plate the sliding gate is opened allowing the pressure to equalize between the upper and lower chambers The first
