Be sure to open the air valve when in use Close after use and under transportation If you operate this pump with air valve closed the working oil cannot be sucked up smoothly A ae fF ax FF WARNING If you operate this pump with the air valve closed when the working oil returns to the tank the pressure in the tank will be increased and the tank might be damaged WARNING If you return the oil exceeding the tank capacity to the tank the pressure in the tank will be increased and the tank might be damaged Also you might be injured 2 To set the high pressure safety valve The high pressure safety valve eliminates the maximum pressure in the system Do not adjust this valve unnece

10. 1 R 3 8 1 2 Preparations before Operation The hand pumps are to be used with rams and hoses According to the applications hydraulic valves pressure gauges and piping materials too are to be used Use RIKEN genuine goods To connect the high pressure hoses Normally the one end of the high pressure hose is screwed in the output port of the pump another end has a hose side coupler to connecta ram side coupler Be sure to use 1 to 2 wraps of tape seal on each end thread How to wrap tape seal Use 1 to 2 wraps of tape seal on each R3 8 PT3 8 thread counter clockwise by leaving Tape wrapping 1 2 Hose screwing eae 1 to 2 threads from the end of Rc3 8

Turn the plug with oil level gauge counter clockwise to take off by use of an adjustable wrench d To check the oi level 1 fh Peated oi Clean the oil level gauge by use of waste cloth Insert By level the oil level gauge into the oil feeding port until it as HERH touches the screw part Take it off again to check if E the oil level is between the oil level range lines e To refill oil If the oil volume is not enough refill the oil from the oil feeding port If enough insert the oil level gauge and turn it clockwise to close tightly 1 Change oil more than once a year XE N 1SO VG32

13. 1 Maintenance of hydraulic working oil Is the oil filled upto the required level If the oil volume is not enough the ram piston will not be extended fully and the pressure will not be rised a Toretract the ram piston fully aax Hi A A A N WARNING Retract the ram piston fully If you fill the oil with the ram piston extended when the ram piston retracts the oil might flow out from the tank Moreover the tank might be damaged and the personal injury might be caused b To set the pump oil output port down Set the pump oil output port down c GIRO OROMYHL To take off the plug with oil level gauge

Unfasten the lever hook by pushing the lever grip 4 SAH O BAR To open the air valve Turn the air valve counter clockwise to open 5 To close the operation valve 2N m Turn the operation valve clockwise to close tightly The tightening torque shall be about 2N m 0 2kgf m 6 Pump ing Hold the lever by one hand and pump to discharge oil When lever load is heavy pull up the lever a little and repeat pumping by use of both hands 7 To return the working oil to the tank After the req

Do not transport the equipment by dragging the hose Do not pass over the hose by wheels and do not fall the goods on the hose Protect the hose by covering over the hose WARNING Be sure not to touch the hose under pressure If you touch the hose and the hose is damaged the pressure oil will jet out to pierce through your hand O 20C 70 C The oil temperature should be between 20 C to 70 C You are kindly recommended not to use the hose around the place where the welding spats and fires exist c Couplers
