1. 2 Use the V or A switches to set the time signature After you set the time signature press the Metronome switch once to start the metronome Setting the tap tempo Matching the tempo to a song 1 Press the Metronome switch so that the LCD indicates TAP TEMPO 2 Press the A switch several times in time with the desired tempo The MA 30 will measure the interval at which you press the switch and will set the tempo accordingly If the measured tempo is slower than 40 the LCD will indicate Lo If it is 209 or faster the LCD will indicate Hi After using tap tempo to set the tempo press the Metronome switch once to start the metronome However if the tap tempo input produced an indication of Lo or Hi the tempo will be 40 or 208 respectively Sound Out mode Press the Sound switch to enter the Sound Out mode The MA 30 will sound a reference tone to help you tune your instrument In this mode you can specify the pitch that will be sounded and adjust the calibration Each time you press the Sound switch you will alternate between these two settings Specifying the pitch Press the Sound switch to make the LCD indicate NOTE and use the or A switches to specify the pitch note name Adjusting the calibration frequency of A4 Press the Sound switch to make the LCD indicate CALIB and use the Y or A switches to adjust the frequency Spe ations Tempo Range J 40 208 minute BPM Bea2.
