Manual ZintoA_final_ger_engl_it_20081017 doc 05 11 2008 Dipl Ing S Spitzley Connection electrical safety Never work alone in dangerous conditions Always ensure that plugs wall sockets and input cables are in good working order Connect the UPS system only to an earthed wall socket with earth contact Pay attention to maximum current drawn and ensure the building wiring is adequately fused The wall socket with earth contact must be easily acces sible and close to the UPS system Only use VDE tested and CE marked connecting cables As specified by the EMC directive the output cable con nected to the UPS must not exceed a length of 10m Do not connect household appliances such as hair dryers to UPS output sockets Do not connect any devices that will overload the UPS e g laser printers to the UPS output sockets Lay cables in such a way that no one can step on or trip over them Operation Do not disconnect the mains cable from the UPS system or the wall socket with earth contact during operation since this would remove the protective earth on the UPS system and on all connected loads The UPS system features its own internal power source batteries The UPS output sockets may be electrically live even if the UPS system is not connected to the wall socket or the mains supply To completely shut down the UPS system press for at least 3 sec and then unplug from the mains 72 181 Manual

10. as well as one of the LEDs for the selected input sensitivity and output voltage 2 Battery mode If in normal mode the input voltage leaves the defined volt age and or frequency tolerances or in the event of a complete power failure the UPS automatically switches to the battery mode without interruption of supply During this process the inverter is supplied with power from the batteries and provides the devices connected with an AC voltage in place of the mains The battery is discharged a situation that is indicated by a flashing Battery LED and an acoustic warning 1 x every 4 seconds The remaining battery capacity can be read on the scale E beside the Battery LED If the mains voltage does not return within a few minutes al lowing the UPS system to automatically switch back to the normal mode the battery must be protected against deep discharge Reaching the deep discharge limit is indicated by an acoustic warning every second The battery is protected against deep discharge by shutting down the UPS system First the devices connected must be correctly shut down This action can be performed in two ways 1 Automatic shutdown using the DataWatch software 2 Shutdown by manually switching off the loads connected as well as switching off the UPS system When the mains voltage returns after an automatic shutdown by DataWatch the ZINTO A automatically switches back on and returns to the normal mode After a

A 3000 e pacco batterie ZINTO A 3000 L installazione dell UPS ZINTO A 3000 e del pacco batterie opzionale viene eseguita dopo avere montato la staffa di fis saggio in dotazione Le viti di fissaggio sono posizionate nel sistema UPS 8 3 Installazione del software Per l installazione del software DataWatch che permette lo shut down la gestione e il monitoraggio dell UPS consultare il relativo manuale di istruzioni sul CD In questa serie stata introdotta la nuova funzione Green sviluppata per proteggere le batterie da scaricamento comple to con carico ridotto Con la funzione Green attivata in caso di funzionamento a batteria al trascorre di un tempo predefinito di 5 minuti viene eseguito lo shut down dell utenza 157 181 Manual ZintoA_final_ger_engl_it_20081017 doc 05 11 2008 Dipl Ing S Spitzley 9 Funzionamento 1 Per un corretto funzionamento la batteria deve essere completatamene carica Il tempo di carica riportato nella sezione 11 2 E possibile mettere in funzione il sistema UPS anche direttamente senza avere eseguito il carica mento tuttavia l autonomia risulter inferiore al valore no minale fornito 2 Prima dell accensione necessario assicurare che la ten sione in uscita dell UPS sia compatibile con la tensione in ingresso del computer collegato di norma 230V La ten sione in uscita dell UPS pu essere impostata sul pannello di comando o con il software 3 Il computer va collegato
