Residential Platform Incline Lift with options Remote switch with optional emergency stop Provided Travel limit switches non skid surface Automatic gate Optional obstruction safety switch emergency stop upper gate rails 1 Year parts Requirements This platform lift is designed to meet ASME A18 1 section 6 and CSA B44 ASME A17 5 with the addition of certain options Code requirements for platform lifts vary depending on location Your installer is responsible for contacting your local code enforcement office to determine all applicable regulations prior to installing platform lifts Site Requirements The lift requires a 115 VAC 10 amp grounded circuit for battery maintainer Outdoor installations require a GFI protected circuit Lift must be installed on a 4 thick level 3 500 psi reinforced concrete slab The foot print requires 44 x 92 area Operation The platform user should be positioned in the safe riding area of the lift away from the steps Press up or down direction button The limit switches will stop the lift platform level with the upper landing At the bottom the access ramp unfolds and rests on the ground Press the emergency stop to stop the lift from running up or down To operate the lift normally pull the switch back out Safety Important Read all instructions in this Owner s Manual before operating the lift This CRPL meets ASME A18 1 safety standards with the proper options However ensure t2. 4. erride Crank try trouble shooting by verifying the following Check that the Emergency Stop Switch is pulled out Check that the electrical cord is plugged into the wall and battery is charged Make sure the remote has a fresh battery in it Manual Over Ride Procedure If after Troubleshooting as above the lift still will not run complete the following steps Step 1 Unplug the lift from the wall Push in the Emergency Stop Button WARNING Do not service or operate the Manual Override Crank while the lift is connected to electricity Step 2 Loosen the screws and remove the fenders on each side of platform Step 3 Insert a 5 8 wrench or socket onto the upper nut on the top of the actuator Alternate rotating the cranks on each actuator to raise or lower the platform 5 turns each side at a time maintaining a level lift WARNING Never operate the lift while the Manual Override Crank is inserted into the lift For your safety if you have any questions please contact your ConvertaStep installer or ConvertaStep Technical Service Department at 260 969 8645 or email info ConvertaStep com Maintenance Clean the lift panels with a mild cleanser Dry thoroughly Do NOT use abrasive cleansers or materials Apply a liberal coat of car wax on the steel panels This is especially important if your platform lift is used outside Touch up any scratches immediately to maintain the attractive rust free appearance Professional Servi
5. hat you and those servicing this product follow all safety procedures Do not disable any safety equipment or switches supplied with this lift Make sure any obstructions cleared from underneath the platform before using Lift should be in the lower position when not in use to allow the stairs to be used and also reduce the likelihood of animals objects or debris from getting under the lift Lock wheelchair brakes before operating lift Make sure both passenger and wheelchair are completely within lift zone marked on platform before using Stay away from all drive train components while the lift is operating Do not exceed the maximum payload capacity of 750 lbs Do not ride on the lift until it is anchored in place This product is designed only for lifting people and mobility devices Do not use for any other purpose Ensure that this lift is always disconnected from the electrical source before servicing Loose clothing or jewelry should never be worn by a person working on the lift The lift requires 115V AC 10 AMP grounded electrical outlet Do not allow children or unqualified individuals to operate or play around lift Do not attempt to service the lift yourself Contact ConvertaStep dealer Troubleshooting In case of power failure this lift is equipped with a Manual Override Crank that permits it to be raised or lowered by hand Before using check to ensure that the manual system is required Before using the Manual Ov
