User Guide L 2924 11 08 Mini Final Polishing Unit FPM Kit Includes 1 Mini Final Polishing Unit FPM 2 Two Pot Polishing Elements FPE 002 3 Two 3m hoses 4 Outlet wand 5 Inlet wand with suction strainer Assembly 1 Connect one hose to the inlet port of the FPM using a 1 27mm wrench figure 1 2 Connect the second hose to the outlet port of the FPM using a 1 27mm wrench figure 2 3 Connect the inlet wand to the other end of the inlet hose figure 3 NOTE Inlet wand has the brass Y strainer attatchment on the end 4 Connect the outlet wand to the other end of the outlet hose 5 Check the elements are installed in the filter pots with the brass ring facing upwards figure 4 Ensure the wingnuts are hand tight An ISO 9001 2000 Certified Company Figure 3 Figure 4 Schroeder BlO Ue s Filtration Solutions for Renewable Energy Sources www schroederbiofuels com Operation 1 a A O N Prime the pump by pouring liquid down the inlet hose to flood the pump chamber This only needs to be done once Check to ensure the switch is in the stop position Plug FPM unit into main electrical supply Move switch to start position to begin pumping Pressure gauge should read between 15 30 psi 1 2 bar with clean elements figure 7 Filter Change 1 FPM Exploded View When the filters are blocked the unit will go into bypass mode This happens at2. approximately 65 psi 4 5 bar At this time fluid is circulating around the pump figure 5 Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from the main supply Remove the inlet and outlet wands from your storage vessels to prevent any fluid syphoning from occuring Remove the wing nuts and lids from the filter pots Pull out the old elements using the black straps The elements may have expanded in the pot so may be a tight fit this is normal Dispose of used elements responsibly figure 6 Fit new elements ensuring the brass ring faces upwards Replace the lids and ensure the wing nuts are hand tight Re connect the unit to its power source turn on and resume filtering the pressure gauge should read between 15 30 psi 1 2 bar with clean elements figure 7 FPE 002 KU65 Figure 5 Figure 6 Figure 7 Figure 8 SchroederBIOfuels Filtration Solutions for Renewable Energy Sources 580 West Park Road Leetsdale PA 15056 p 724 318 1100 f 724 318 1200 An ISO 9001 2000 Certified Company www schroederbiofuels com
