Installation and connection FA LG 4 N m Using the spanner supplied turn the m Turn the right hand transit bar 90 left hand transit bar 90 then then m withdraw the transit bar m withdraw the transit bar 50 Installation and connection NTo avoid the risk of injury the holes for the transit bars must be covered after the transit bars have been removed m Secure the transit bars to the back of the washing machine Make sure that the upper hooks are above the retainers N The machine must not be moved m Fit the covers onto the two holes without the transit bars in place Store them as shown or keep them in a safe place for future use They must be re fitted if the machine is to be moved again e g when moving house Re fitting the transit bars Re fitting is carried out by reversing the procedure 51 Installation and connection Levelling the machine The machine must stand perfectly level on all four feet to ensure safe and proper operation Failure to level the machine can result in the machine banging in the spin cycle or walking across the floor during operation Screwing out and adjusting the feet The four adjustable screw feet are used to level the machine All four feet are m Use a spirit level to check the screwed in when the machine is machine is standing level delivered m Hold foot 1 securely with a pipe wrench Turn counter nut 2

Water consumption and energy usage are determined by the size of the load To make the most out of your machine load the maximum dry load for the programme you are using When smaller loads are washed in the Cottons programme the auto matic load recognition system will reduce the amount of water time and energy used This may mean that the time left shown in the display is adjusted during the course of the wash programme Use the Cottons 60 C programme rather than the Cottons 95 C programme This allows you to save between 35 45 energy This is sufficient for most soiling Use the Soak programme for more stubborn soiling Using the Cottons 40 C programme is recommended for a normally soiled load and is the programme used in energy water consumption tests to AS NZS 2040 Refer to consumption data Detergent consumption Do not exceed the amounts of detergent recommended by the manufacturer on the packaging Adjust the dosage to the degree of soiling of the laundry Reduce the amount of detergent with smaller loads approx less than the amount recommended can be used when washing a half load Choosing the correct Extra option Short Soak Pre wash Select Awash programme together with the Short Extra option for light to normal soiling where there are no obvious marks Awash programme without any Extra options for normal to heavy soiling with visible staining
