JLULRONINGS Wiltronics Scientific PH902 Pen pH Tester Operating Instructions for Accurate use Specification Range 0 00 14 00 pH Resolution 0 01 pH Accuracy 0 03 pH Operating Temp 5 50 C Calibration 2 points Power supply 6VDC 4 x 1 5 V Button Battery Plug Changeable electrode Automatic switch off function After 10 15mins inactivity meter will switch off automatically Operation 1 Remove the protective cap and switch on the unit 2 If it is the first time of use or not used for a long time calibrate the unit 3 Dip the electrode into sample solution Stir gently and Wait for a few seconds till the displayed value is stable The LCD readout is the pH value 4 After using dip the electrode into distilled or de ionized water Stir gently Then use tissue paper to gently suck the water from the glass bulb This action must be done very careful in order not to damage to the glass bulb 5 When storing the pH meter switch off the unit put a few drops of distilled water or de ionized water on the sponge inside the cap to rinse the glass bulb Then put the cap onto the pH meter 6 If the unit can not be switched on or the display fades replace all the batteries Calibration The pH meter has a 2 point calibration system Point 1 is a trimmer along side of the battery compartment Point 2 is the trimmer in the bottom of the battery compartment underneath the battery holder 1 Clean the electrode with distilled2. or de ionized water 2 Dip the electrode into 6 86pH buffer solution If the display does not show between 6 84 6 88 adjust point 1 trimmer to make it display 6 86pH 3 Clean the electrode with distilled or de ionized water 4 Dip the electrode into 4 01pH buffer solution If the display does not show the right pH value adjust point 2 trimmer to make it display 4 01pH 5 Clean the electrode with distilled or de ionized water 6 Dip the electrode back to 6 86pH buffer solution If the display is correct calibration finishes If it is not correct repeat procedures 2 to 6 Notes 1 The glass bulb of the electrode is fragile Treat it carefully Do not touch it with hard tools or fingers Suck the water onto tissue paper gently when cleaning Do not wipe 2 Clean the electrode with distilled or de ionized water every time before and after use Distributed By Wiltronics Research Pty Ltd PO Box 4043 Alfredton 3350 AUSTRALIA Ph 61 3 5334 2513 Fax 61 3 5334 1845 AX Email sales wiltronics com au _ http www wiltronics com au E P RESEARCH PTY LTD EARCH PTY LTD
