Instructions for Use Series 14 KE Operating instructions Series 24 KE Series 26 KE Operating instructions Important For reasons of safety RECTUS KE couplings may only be used with RECTUS steel connnectors Series 14 KE only with Series 22 SF steel connectors Series 24 KE only with Series 23 SF steel connectors Series 26 KE only with Series 25 SE steel connectors Coupling As is usual with modern couplings coupling is effected simply by pushing the connector into the coupling During coupling make sure that the connector is pushed into the coupling as far as it will go The connector locks audibly into place Self venting operation Pushing back the sleeve causes the 1st lock to be released The coupling valve closes and at the same time the connector is pushed into a 2nd locking system by compressed air and the valve spring The compressed air can now easily escape from the connector hose Make sure that any compressed air that may escape under these circumstances does not create any hazard Uncoupling The sleeve must not be pulled forwards towards the connector until the pressure in the coupling has dissipated and no more air escapes This means that the 2nd locking system has been cleared and the connector can now be removed without risk
