INS MANUAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Model BJT 75 DINO Description 12 Volt Mobile Jump Starter Durst Motor amp Electric Industries Pty Ltd 189 St Johns Road Glebe NSW 2037 Website www durst com au Phone 02 9660 1755 Fax 02 9692 0251 REV NIL Kevin Pitt INS 08 DATE 24 02 14 AUTHORISED BY PAGE 1 OF2 INS MANUAL When to Charge Your Jump Starter is shipped fully charged however an extended period of time may elapse in shipment or storage before the Jump Starter is purchased Therefore you should charge the Jump Starter for 12 hours before using it for the first time It is recommended to charge after each use If the Jump Starter is not being used it is recommended to leave it permanently on charge ensuring the battery is always maintained fully charged and ready for use This will also maintain battery life Do not allow Jump Starter to become very flat When Charging e Battery Switch to OFF position e Plug Charger into charging socket on Jump Starter e Turn Battery Charger on and leave till next required Vehicle Jump Starting Instructions Note Instructions for negatively earthed vehicles only e Before making any connections check the Jump Starter is in the OFF position and battery cables and clamps are in good condition e Ensure correct Jump Starter is used for the type of vehicle being Jump Started 24V mode for 24V vehicles e Turn your vehicles ignition OFF before connecting the Jump St2. arter s clamps to your vehicle e Follow connection procedure below carefully e Connect the Red POSITIVE clamp to the positive terminal of the battery in the vehicle and the Black NEGATIVE clamp to any non moving metal part of the engine block or chassis as far away from the battery as possible DO NOT CONNECT TO FUEL LINE Always double check that you have the proper connections Note If the buzzer sounds when the clamps are connected STOP IMMEDIATLEY and disconnect as there is a reverse connection somewhere Recheck wiring connection and proceed e Turn the vehicle s ignition to ON and start the vehicle If the Jump Starter fails to start your vehicle check that the clamps are correctly connected with good contact Also check if there is another reason why your vehicle won t start Is there fuel in the Vehicle e After the engine has started turn the power switch on Jump Starter to the OFF position e Disconnect the Black Clamp then the Red Clamp e Plug the Jump Starter back into Durst Smart Charger BCS A1206 Accessories e Fuse replacement Part Number for this unit is BJF 500 REV NIL Kevin Pitt INS 08 DATE 24 02 14 AUTHORISED BY PAGE 2 OF 2
