Mac Backups This section of the General page enables or disables Time Machine backups of Mac computers You can also configure Time Machine Settings Mac Backups Time Machine ON Gi Configure To configure backup settings 1 With the Time Machine switch ON click the Configure link to display the Time Machine Settings dialog box CO Time Machine Settings Configure settings for your Time Machine backups for your Mac Select a Share Maximum Size a s 2 TB 100 Increasing the maximum backup value after the initial backup has no effect on existing backups WD recommends leaving this setting at the maximum value for your initial backup After the first backup is complete you can change the backup size by dragging the Maximum Size slider Cancel 2 From the Select a Share drop down list select to back up all of the data on the Mac or select a specific share to back up WD MY CLOUD PERSONAL CLOUD STORAGE Lo USER MANUAL CONFIGURING SETTINGS 3 Use the slider to indicate the Maximum Size of the backup Leave the slider at the maximum value quota for your first backup see page note After that move the slider to a smaller quota to avoid filling up the entire drive with backups 4 Click Save Important Once your Time Machine begins to back up your files to a selected share we recommend that you continue to back up to that share Switching shares generates a new backup file which
