Tap Activate Security Codes gt U SIM PIN code Select On or Off and enter the PIN number to confirm The original PIN number is provided by your service provider but can be changed if required e To change the PIN Code select Change Security Codes U SIM PIN Codes The PIN code needs to be On in order to change If you forget the PIN code it can be reset by your service provider 50 9 14 What is the Handset Security Code The Handset Security code is stored on the handset and protects against unwanted use If the handset is lost or stolen it cannot be switched on without the handset security code This provides a greater level of protection than the PIN code which protects the USIM card only The default code is 0000 but you can change this if required From the idle screen press the Menu Key to open the main menu Tap Settings Flick right to the Security tab Tap Activate Security Codes Handset Security code Note It is important to remember this code as it cannot be reset by the user It can only be reset by the repair agent for a fee 9 15 Additional notes on PIN Codes The PIN and PUK Codes are provided by your Service Provider f you enter the PIN number incorrectly three times the phone will be PUK locked Contact your service provider to get the PIN Unlocking Key PUK code PIN2 Code is an additional PIN on the USIM card and is not generally supported 9 16 Touchscreen Vibrate mode By def
