Vibration and Ringing Mode GPRS Attach PDP Context Established Installing the USIM Card The USIM card stores your network connection authority service details phonebook and text messages It must be inserted into your phone prior to use First disconnect the charger and other accessories Remove the back panel and the battery as described below Handle the USIM card with care and avoid static electricity and magnetism Do not bend or scratch your USIM card If the USIM card is removed or damaged then the handset becomes unusable except for emergency calls The USIM card is installed in a holder underneath the battery Insert the card into the holder as shown with the gold contacts on the USIM card facing down and the beveled corner facing to the top right Ensure the USIM is pushed all the way to the edge of the phone 20 Battery Installation Charging and Care 1 Removing the Battery Switch off the handset Find and press the release button in the lower middle of the back panel and gently slide the panel down to reveal the battery compartment Find the groove on the bottom of the battery and lift the battery up and out 2 Installing the Battery Locate the contacts on the battery Insert the battery so the contacts line up with the terminals on the phone The battery can only be inserted one way Push the battery down into place and replace the back cover 21 The battery is not fully charged when you buy
