1.       Training Required    The ZoomR requires you to train and practise in an area that is free from obstacles  allows you to fall  safely without injury and develop the skill necessary to use it safely and effectively  See the Safety  Equipment Section before training     OPERATING PROCEDURE    10    Starting  Press the power button     Mounting  Always start with the ZoomR in front to mount  Place the ZoomR on flat  level ground  free from  obstacles  other people  devices or items that you may collide with     Facing the ZoomR  place one foot flat on the footpad which will trigger the ZoomR to engage and will  take several seconds to calibrate self balancing  once the green LED running display indicates the  Zoomk is balanced then put the other foot on the device  Distribute your weight evenly     Mounting the ZoomR is best likened to the motion of climbing up stairs     Balance  Balancing is key to be able to control the ZoomR effectively and safely  It is vital that you are able to  keep the ZoomR stationary and maintain your balance without falling off     If you are unable to maintain balance on the ZoomR while stationary then you should not proceed to  attempting to move the ZoomR  Have someone assist you to maintain balance     Once you are able to balance while the ZoomR is stationary you should then proceed to small  movement  You should move your weight slightly forward so that the ZoomR moves straight forward  for no more than 1 m  Then bring the ZoomR to stop by

3.  moving your weight back to the centre  Then  move your weight slightly backwards so the ZoomR moves straight backwards to your original starting  position  You need to be able to complete these manoeuvres multiple times and with ease before  proceeding further     Slight changes in weight can cause dramatic changes in movement of the ZoomR  Make sure that you  use small movements     Control    Shifting your weight forward will cause the wheels to move forward  Shifting your weight backward will cause the wheels to move backward  Shifting your weight to the left will cause the device to turn to the left  Shifting your weight to the right will cause the device to turn to the right  Centering your weight will cause the ZoomR to stop    Dismounting    To dismount from the ZoomR you need to return it to a stationary position by shifting your weight back  to the center and waiting for the wheels to stop moving  Once the wheels have stopped moving and  while maintaining your balance quickly remove one foot and place it flat on the ground behind you   Then remove the other foot  Dismounting with a helper is recommended for learners       Training Required    Do not dismount on the ground in front of you or while the ZoomR is moving  this can cause serious  injury or death  Always dismount stepping backwards     PRACTISE    It is vital that before taking your ZoomR to a different location or using in a lesser controlled  environment you need to practise multiple moves     In a flat

5. area free from obstacles  intrusions  people or other items that can cause collision or injury if  you fall  you must practise these movements until you can repeat each of them easily     Balance    Move the ZoomR slowly straight forward for several meters   Come to a complete stop   Move the ZoomR slowly straight backward to the original starting position   Repeat the above steps with gradually increasing speed  varying speeds and ensure that you can do so  with stability  balance and not falling off     Circles    Gently move your weight to the left and move the ZoomR around in a large slow circle  Gradually increase your speed  not too fast  and use varying speeds while maintaining your balance  Repeat the above but causing the ZoomR to perform large circles    Figure 8    Place 2 soft clearly visible items 2 metres apart   Control the ZoomR to perform a figure 8 that starts on the right of the first marker   Repeat the above step but starting on the left of the first marker   Repeat both above with varying speeds  not too fast and increase gradually  and spaces between the  soft items    Dismounting    Practise the above steps but choosing different points to bring the ZoomR to a stop  quickly removing  one foot and dismounting from the ZoomR     NWARNING     Do not turn sharply in the case of high speed to avoid injury or death  Do not turn round quickly on slopes  it may cause injury or death    11      Protection Function  The ZoomR has an inbuilt protection function t
6. at  STOP riding and recharge immediately       WARNING     Continuing to use the ZoomR when the battery is low is very dangerous and can cause serious injury or  death  The control sensors rely on sufficient power to operate correctly     System Display   Green LED shows the system is running correctly  Red LED shows a system error and you should stop using the ZoomR immediately      Product Introduction  WORKING PRINCIPLES    ZoomR uses gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to control balance intelligently responding to the  position of the user and their weight distribution     ZoomR Classic and Sports both feature 3Balance     a 3VOLV exclusive driving mode that performs the  world s most precise stability control that is unmatched in other devices  It allows you to perform more  of your movements in indoor and outdoor terrain     resulting in precise  ultra stabilising driving for  every experience  The way it works is that the ZoomR is automatically stabilising between the balance  of the driver and the ground  There are a ton of scenarios where 3Balance gives great results  Moments  when you are driving on ground that is slanted  bumpy  paved  polished  etc  would all work great   Especially when you reach top speed  it remains steady     ZoomR uses servo control system to drive the wheels with precision accuracy  Although its movements  are based on those of the human body  it takes practise to be able to use the ZoomR in a safe and  effective manner     Never use the Zo

8. contact us at the  above website and we will endeavour to assist with fixing or replacing at your cost s      19      Troubleshooting    RECALIBRATING THE BALANCE ON THE ZOOMR    Recalibrating the balance of the ZoomR must only be done in event that normal operation has become  unbalanced     20    1     2  3   4    Place ZoomR upright on flat level ground and ensure footpads are pivoted evenly and level   Press the power button on the ZoomR to start the ZoomR   Using the remote control  press the unlock button and the system display will indicate a red LED  Press and hold both lock and unlock buttons on the remote for 3 seconds  release both buttons  and then the system display will begin to flash a red LED   Do not touch the ZoomR as it is now recalibrating  When the flashing red LED and the system  display is no longer lit  this signals the ZoomR has finished recalibrating    Test the recalibrated ZoomR with one foot first on the footpad to ensure the balance is calibrated   before placing the other foot on  If you are unable to maintain balance on the ZoomR while stationary  then you should not proceed to attempting to move the ZoomR  recalibrate and test the ZoomR once  again  Should all of the above be unsuccessful  contact us by visiting 3volv com au support     Learn more about 3VOLV products at 3volv com au    
9. engage in a few minutes once the rider hops off the device   Alternatively  you can use the remote control to shut down the ZoomR manually    REMOTE CONTROLLER    The remote control can operate within a maximum distance of 5 meters  The remote control will not  work until the ZoomR has been stationery and disengaged for a couple of moments      a  Lock Button   a long press of this button turns the device off    b  Unlock Button   press this button and the device will be prohibit operation  Press again to  undo     Note that after a few minutes without use the ZoomR will automatically shut down unless the device  has been prohibited from operation  Leaving the device prohibited mode when not in use will increase  power consumption  ZoomR remotes have the ability to communicate with multiple ZoomRs     FOOTPAD SENSOR    There are four sensors under the footpads that the user stands on when using the ZoomR   It is essential that when using the ZoomR that your feet are evenly placed flat on these footpads     WARNING     Do not place items on the footpads as it can make the device move and increase the possibility of  collision to cause injury or death and damage the device     BATTERY DISPLAY 8 RUNNING DISPLAY  The displays are located in the middle of the ZoomR     Battery Display    Green LED indicates the ZoomR is fully charged   Orange LED indicates the power level is down to 50    Red LED indicates the power level is down to 20    When Red LED the battery is approaching fl

12. omR without learning and practising in a safe obstacle free area     When you stand on the ZoomR and shift your weight forward  the wheels will move forward  if you shift  your weight backward  the wheels will move backward     To turn you need to slow down and shift your weight in the direction you wish to go while keeping your  balance     Failing to slow down before turning or attempting high speed turns can cause serious injury or death     Although the built in inertia dynamic stabilisation systems can keep the ZoomR moving in either  forwards or back  incorrect weight distribution can cause the direction to change and cause you to lose  your balance and fall     Turning on the ZoomR takes practise and skill  it is essential that you take the time to develop your skills  so as to prevent injury or death       Safe Use of ZoomR    GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF SAFE USE    The ZoomR is a fun device that can be used safely when the user has spent sufficient time practising in a  safe area learning how to use correctly  Like learning to ride a bike  driving a car or other skill users  cannot expect to jump straight on the device and use it safely and efficiently     Like other devices should you intentionally use it too fast or beyond a speed not comfortable to  maintain control  off road  for stunts  tricks or other ways it is not intended can result in serious injury or  death     Do not make any modification to the software or the parts as it will affect the performance of the  Z
