Chapter 12 Managing Your Network 151 Presentations The Presentations tab allows you to see all presentations uploaded to the BrightSign Network as well as which groups the presentations belong to which presentations are active and when they were last modified To use the Status window you must first sign into BrightSign Network by clicking Tools gt Sign in to BrightSign Network Click the arrow beside a presentation to view which groups are currently using the presentation You can also sort the list of presentations by clicking the header that you want to use as the sort criteria For example to sort by name click the Name column then click it again to switch between ascending and descending order Library The Library tab allows you to see all content files images audio video that have been uploaded to your BrightSign Network account Files with a green check mark are currently active You can perform any of the following actions e Switch between thumbnail and list view by clicking the icons in the upper right portion of the screen e View item info Right click an item and click Info Here you can view the file size type date modified and date uploaded as well as all presentations and all Dynamic Playlists using the file e Delete an item Right click a file and click Delete Keep in mind that you can only delete files that aren t currently active e Refresh the library Click the Refresh button in the upper right portion o

Chapter 10 Presentation Properties T39 Device Web Page Display The device web page allows you view and edit User Variables over your local network In order to display a standard or custom device web page you must first enable the Local Web Server during player setup e No device web page Choose this option if you would like to enable the Local Web Server but do not want the User Variables webpage to be accessible e Standard device web page The default device web page lists all User Variables and their default current values on a sparsely formatted page e Custom device web page This option allows you to use a device web page with custom appearance formatting and functionality See the Creating a Custom Device Web Page tech note for more information e Alphabetize variable names This option will determine how variable fields are ordered on the device web page If this box is checked the variables will be listed alphabetically rather than by order of creation Media Counters Media Counters are values that record how many times a file has played in a presentation They can be viewed in Live Text or extracted from the BrightSign player via USB Media Counters are not recorded unless you check the Automatically create media counter variables checkbox in the Variables tab When enabled Media Counters are recorded for every file in the presentation However in Live Text only Media Counters that are individually added can be viewed For de

11. presentation o Master The presentation sending Synchronize commands A master presentation cannot contain synchronize events i e you cannot chain one master presentation to another o Slave The presentation receiving Synchronize commands via Synchronize events Domain This number needs to be unique for each set of master slave presentations on the network This will ensure that multiple groups of synchronized presentations can operate on the same local network without synchronization messages interfering with each other e Touch Select a cursor option to determine whether the cursor is always hidden always visible or present only if there is more than one touch region on the screen i e Auto display cursor Check the Flip coordinates checkbox to reverse the coordinates of the check screen Use this option only if the touch screen coordinates appear to be reversed Buttons Use the dropdown list to select the type of button panel BP200 or BP900 you wish to configure The A B and C letters after the button panel number specify which device is enumerated first this is only applicable if you are connecting more than one BP device of the same model number to the player Choose one of the following e Automatically configure which buttons are enabled Only buttons that are configured with BP200 BP900 events in the presentation will be enabled All other buttons will not light up or react to button presses e Specify which buttons are enabled
