5. lridium Pilot User Manual Section IV System Operation 4 0 System Operation Now that the system has been set up and configured it is ready for use This chapter provides details on how to use the Iridium Pilot system 4 1 Data Operation Prior to operation the Iridium Pilot unit must be installed provisioned and switched on All status lights should be nominal e Power LED must be green Power is being supplied to the BDE and it is switched on e Status LED is amber BDE and ADE can communicate and are sitting idle This light will turn green once the unit goes online e Signal LED is amber or green The unit can see the satellite network A red signal light indicates no signal e GPS LED is green The unit has received the necessary GPS information required to operate e Data and Voice port lights are green Provisioning details have successfully been received from the network and access to the service has been granted If the unit has been denied access then the lights will be amber Accessing the Web As long as your data port is provisioned and the proper physical connections made access the Internet simply by starting your web browser The IBSU allows you complete functionality to upload and download data web pages and email Note Large files or graphic intense web pages will take longer to transfer or display Note Configuring the system and full diagnostics can only be done by the System Administrator and requir
