2. 1 Before you can engage auto steer the system must have a good position fix 2 Steer your vehicle to a desired line and press while in motion The steering system will now guide the vehicle 3 To disengage the automatic steering system press Auto steer will also disengage if you turn the steering wheel to the left or right if this is supported in your vehicle or you come to a complete stop e Refer to 6 6 Roading for details on the Roading safety feature e Certain vehicles steering kits may have a separate engage switch that will replace the functionality of the mojoRTK console engage button 6 6 General informa tion Turn roading off sr Roading The Roading feature is a safety tool that is designed to prevent accidentally engaging auto steer when auto steer should not be engaged such as when roading or working near obstacles Each time the mojoRTK console is turned on Roading is turned on too which will disable auto steer There are two ways to turn Roading off e From the navigation screen press to enter the menu scroll down to Roading and press ex Press to get back to the navigation screen e When you try to engage auto steer with Roading turned on the console will ask you to confirm that you want to turn Roading off If you want to use auto steer and therefore turn Roading off turn the main dial counter clockwise to Yes and press 6X If you do not want to turn Road

A Warning A warning A Danger High mechanical stress high ambient temperatures or immersion into fluids can cause leackage fire or explosions of the batteries Precautions Protect the batteries from mechanical influences and high ambient temperatures Do not drop or immerse batteries into fluids Short circuited battery terminals can overheat and cause injury or fire for example by storing or transporting in pockets if battery terminals come in contact with jewel lery keys metallized paper or other metals Precautions Make sure that the battery terminals do not come into contact with metallic objects If the product is used with accessories for example masts staffs poles you may increase the risk of being struck by lightning Danger from high voltages also exists near power lines Lightning voltage peaks or the touching of power lines can cause damage injury and death Precautions e Do not use the product in a thunderstorm as you may increase the risk of being struck by lightning e Be sure to remain at a safe distance from electrical installations Do not use the product directly under or in close proximity to power lines If it is essential to work in such an environment contact the safety authorities responsible for elec trical installations and follow their instructions Leica mojoRTK Safety Directions 153 Leica mojoRTK Safety Directions 154 Lightning conductors If the product has to b

Manufacturer of the product Manufacturers of non Leica Geosystems accessories Person in charge of the product A Warning Responsibilities Leica Geosystems AG CH 9435 Heerbrugg hereinafter referred to as Leica Geosys tems is responsible for supplying the product including the user manual and original accessories in a completely safe condition The manufacturers of non Leica Geosystems accessories for the product are respon sible for developing implementing and communicating safety concepts for their products and are also responsible for the effectiveness of those safety concepts in combination with the Leica Geosystems product The person in charge of the product has the following duties e To understand the safety instructions on the product and the instructions in the user manual e To be familiar with local regulations relating to safety and accident prevention e To inform Leica Geosystems immediately if the product and the application becomes unsafe e To ensure that the national laws regulations and conditions for the operation of radio transmitters are respected The person responsible for the product must ensure that it is used in accordance with the instructions This person is also accountable for the training and the deployment of personnel who use the product and for the safety of the equipment in use 10 5 A Warning A Warning Hazards of Use The absence of instruction or the
5. e The permissible temperature range for charging is between 0 C to 35 C 32 F to 95 F For optimal charging we recommend charging the batteries at a low ambient temperature of 10 C to 20 C 50 F to 68 F if possible e Itis normal for the battery to become warm during charging Using the chargers recommended by Leica Geosystems it is not possible to charge the battery if the temperature is too high e For new batteries or batteries that have been stored for a long time gt three months it is effectual to make only one charge discharge cycle e For Li lon batteries a single discharging and charging cycle is sufficient We recommend carrying out the process when the battery capacity indicated on the charger or on a Leica Geosystems product deviates significantly form the actual battery capacity available Operation Discharging e The batteries can be operated from 20 C to 55 C 4 F to 131 F e Low operating temperatures reduce the capacity that can be drawn very high operating temperatures reduce the service life of the battery A warning Batteries not recommended by Leica Geosystems may be damaged if charged or discharged They may burn and explode Precautions Only charge and discharge batteries recommended by Leica Geosystems Leica mojoRTK mojoRTK Base Station Operation 43 Leica mojoRTK mojoRTK Base Station Operation 44 3 1 Base Station Setup Ee The batteries must not be removed or added int

19. codes are available which extend the NMEA output NMEA Terrain Compensated and NMEA Accurate Height e NMEA Terrain Compensated enables output of accurate heading information and the selection of the position reference The position reference can be e The red antenna default none e The middle of the tractor s roof basic e At ground level in the middle of the tractor with compensation for terrain full e NMEA Accurate Height removes noise added to the height information Benefits Enabling the mojoRTK console to output NMEA allows supporting devices to use the position information from the console The NMEA Terrain Compensated and NMEA Accurate Height unlock codes improve the position information in the NMEA output to the same accuracy level as is used by the console for guidance Limitations e The mojoRTK console only provides support for NMEA 0183 standard e The mojoRTK console does not support flow control Leica mojoRTK Normal System Operation 119 Leica mojoRTK Normal System Operation 120 Reguired items Configuration e The mojoRTK console supports different baud rates but the baud rate selected may limit how many sentences can be output and the rate at which they are output For example at low baud rates it is not possible to output all sentences at 10 Hz The mojoRTK console will detect this situation display an error and disable NMEA output If you receive this error then switch to a higher baud rate or redu
