Fa U H O D z O LLI Acer eDataSecurity Management Acer eDataSecurity Management is a handy file encryption utility that protects your files from being accessed by unauthorized persons It is conveniently integrated with Windows Explorer as a shell extension for quick and easy data encryption decryption and also supports on the fly file encryption for MSN Messenger and Microsoft Outlook There are two passwords that can be used to encrypt decrypt a file the supervisor password and the file specific password The supervisor password is a master password that can decrypt any file on your system the file specific password is assigned when you encrypt each individual file The Acer eDataSecurity Management setup wizard will prompt you for a supervisor password and default file specific password This file specific password will be used to encrypt files by default or you can choose to enter your own file specific password when encrypting a file Note The password used encrypt a file is the unique key that the system needs to decrypt it If you lose the password the supervisor password is the only other key capable of decrypting the file If you lose both passwords there will be no way to decrypt your encrypted file Be sure to safeguard all related passwords Acer eDataSecurity Management 2 O Empowering Technology About Help Acer eDataSecurity Management System Administration Cha

3. are shown The group on the left provides standard playback controls play pause stop etc The group on the right controls volume mute and volume up down Note When playing DVDs there are additional controls added to the right of the volume controls These are discussed in more detail in the Cinema section of this guide 37 Cinema If your computer came with a DVD drive you can play movies from DVDs and Video CDs VCDs with the Cinema function of Acer Arcade This player has the features and controls of a typical DVD player When you insert a disk into the DVD drive the movie begins playing automatically To control the movie the pop up player control panel appears at the bottom of the window when you move the pointer If more than one optical drive contains a playable disk click the Cinema button on the Home page to open the Cinema content page then select the disk you d like to watch from the list on the right When viewing DVDs the following special controls are added to the pop up panel DVD Menu e Subtitles Language Snapshot e Angle The disk currently playing will be shown in the area above the list of drives This page is also displayed when you press the Stop button during a movie The buttons on the left side allow you to resume the movie from the point it was stopped restart the movie from the beginning jump to the DVD menu eject the disk or go to the DVD Settings page Settings
