4. 1 Open the Rapid event entry screen from Rapid Event Entry option on the Data Entry menu at the top of the screen 2 Select the animal and then select Movements from the Event Group Now select ADD X The movement type screen will now open Answer the Has the animal Died question using the radio buttons and then select the movement date Then select OK 4 The Details screen asking for holding information will now open Now follow steps 5 to 8 from Via Animal Menu above to add the holding details ay Once you are happy you have filled in the correct information on this screen select OK and the movement event will be entered Entering Births You can enter birth information for animals born in the herd either via a calving event or the Enrol Wizard All information required by the BCMS to apply for a Cattle Passport is prompted for Once you have entered births they can be viewed on the Birth Information View in the Event Details Views section Via a Calving Event l Enter a calving event as normal and select OK 2 The Calf Enrolment Screen will now open Enter all the details about the calf In order to send a birth registration to BCMS you MUST enter the eartag the DEFRA breed and the sex of the calf 3 If you want to send the registration to BCMS electronically and have not selected this to be done automatically see electronic registrations then simply tick the Apply for Cattle Passport electronically box now

18. be visited to make checks on the standards achieved Housing and Facilities your farm will be inspected to ensure you satisfy the requirements Plant and Equipment this covers the servicing and maintenance checks and therefore a lag of service records should be kept on the computer Feedingstuffs and Water the feeding plan should be filled in and updated as necessary A record of each delivery of feed must be entered onto the computer A warranty statement Is reguired for each feed delivered Herd Health a herd health plan should be completed A medicine book is required covered by Drugs module and treated cows should be revisited with progress after days The farm must be registered by BEMS covered by Movements module stockmanship and Training this ensures the competency of the staff and good husbandry methods Contingency Plans this covers how the farm copes in emergency situations and should be entered onto the computer for reference A printed list of phone numbers and procedures should be made available to all staff Check List Emergency Plan Herd Health Plan Feeding Plan If you do NOT want this screen to appear every time impe PRO starts you can turn it off by going to View and un ticking Show Diary The first screen that appears explains how to comply with the National Dairy Farm Assured Scheme On this screen there is also a Check List button This button is a link to a web page which allows the use
