POLAR Aquastar User s Guide A WARNING Read the technical instructions before installing the bath e Read the users instructions before using the bath e Donot bring sharp objects into the bath e Contact the seller if the colours appear to be changing under or on top of the coating e If aleakage appears contact the seller immediately e All electrical work should be perfomed by a qualified electrician e Do not leave children in the bath without supervision e Do not sit with your back or head against the skimmer e For AquaStar 150 180 a mains connection of 230V and a 2x16A with a 30mA Ground Fault Current Interrupt GFCI for both phases are required A service switch which is closely installed to the electrical connection is recommended e ATTENTION If the hot tub will be countersunk e g in a terrace it is necessary that the access is not obstructed in any way order to be able to service it Service hatches should be removable without a problem e f automatic dispensers floating etc are used careful adjustment should be made to avoid incorrect dosage Follow the recommendations in our instructions e The circulation pump also generates heat and if it is running a long time eg continuous filtration TM it can raise the temperature by several degrees in one day when the tub is well insulated e Check the quality of the water as well as temperature and function regularly don t leave the spa unmoni

7. em without any water running and watch out that both the tap next to the filter suction side as well as the tap on the pressure side are open meaning the part connected to the pump not the draining valve When emptying the tub from water please do leave valves and nuts till pumps and filter open Water level A suitable water level in order to keep the filtration system functioning properly is about 5 cm below the upper edge If it is beneath then the pump starts sucking air instead of water into the filter and the control system then shuts off the pump and heating Too much causes the surface water to not be pulled into the filter Water hygiene is important Five easy advice for maintaining good water hygiene if you have got a filtration system Take a shower before you get into the hot tub Add some bactericidal solution before and after taking a bath Control the ph value and balance it if necessary Oxygenate your water on a weekly basis Clean the filter cartridge frequently and let the filtration system run sufficiently AR Se In order to keep up water hygiene it is necessary to add some bactericidal solution to the water because water itself is not clean Personal hygiene and effective disinfection are two things which are important for the maintenance of clean water You should also look out for what type of water you use e g sea water or water from lakes which contains algae and bacteria Bacteria feel very comfortable i

18. water will drain out of the pump Do the same with the nuts for the filter I Leave the nuts open ATTENTION Some models have drainage hoses L installed so that draining is done by opening a quick release coupling K near the drainage hole J 4 If draining is done in freezing temperatures then the hatches should not be kept open without protecting the equipment also read avoid damage from freezing Otherwise follow the instructions above Attention When the spa is to be drained of water for a longer period of time or if there is a risk of freezing then the circulation pump massage pumps and nuts for pumps and filters shall be left open If draining is done only for changing the water it is not necessary to drain the pumps of water or open these connections Also read Avoid damage from freezing In the four corners of the bottom there are holes where water from draining of for instance pumps can run out It s also okay to wipe up the water that remains at the base with a rag Avoid damage from freezing e Plan the draining and filling of water so that there is no risk of damage from freezing never empty or fill the bath when the temperature s below freezing without first protecting the equipment e Attention If the bath has been drained of water and the temperature s below freezing then all the equipment will also be below freezing itself If the bath is filled with water then without considering this the risks
