Footwear troubleshooting a chemical approach Members only 17th March 2015 Kettering UK SATRA will be hosting a one day seminar to discuss chemical problems associated with footwear The focus will be on typical chemistry related footwear problems such as discolouration odours or restricted chemicals Possible prevention methods and an introduction to the Biocidal Products Regulation BPR will also be discussed The aim of this event is to provide members with an opportunity to interact directly with SATRA experts and to gain a useful insight into footwear problems due to chemical effects The morning session is divided into several short presentations that will be delivered by a number of different speakers Laboratory tours will be included and these will involve some simple testing demonstrations There will be opportunities for questions throughout the day and during the complimentary buffet lunch This event is aimed at technologists involved in footwear manufacture or supply or retailers who sell footwear The afternoon will provide information on rubber formulations and give a basic introduction to REACH and restricted substances lists There will be an opportunity for individual consultation sessions with SATRA staff at the end of the day if you have any specific questions or examples SATRA Programme 09 30 Registration and refreshments 10 00 Introduction to SATRA and outline of the day 10 15 Chemical tr
