1. Multi Point Locking System Operating Instructions From outside when the house is UNOCCUPIED Only when the house is completely unoccupied should the additional outside lower cylinder be used E The lower cylinder can be deadlocked using the same key as used for the normal door lock cylinder see Fig 4 This will totally block the locking system making it impossible to unlock the door from the inside via the internal thumbturn The door cannot then be used by potential burglars as an escape route To regain access both the lower and normal cylinder should be unlocked in the normal manner using the key Fig4 Multi Point Locking System Operating Instructions From inside when the house is OCCUPIED e The Entryguard function can be activated by turning the upper Entryguard knob see Fig 1 This will engage the Entryguard system allowing the unlocked door to be opened sufficiently to view visitors or identification passes see Aig 5 e Closing the door and returning the Entryguard knob to the vertical position will disengage the Entryguard system e For complete security the door can be dead locked from the inside by lifting the lever handle up and turning the main cylinder thumbturn see Fig 2 From outside when the house is OCCUPIED The door can be deadlocked from the outside by lifting the lever handle up and turning the key in the main cylinder locking the door in the normal way see Rg 32. Entry from outside when the door is locked is achieved by the reverse procedure f the Entryguard system has been activated from the inside it can be disengaged from the outside by turning the key beyond theunlock position until an audible click is heard which signals that the Entryguard knob is deactivated
