4. ct by a wire and a separate magnetic contact The sensor triggers the Smart Panel when the two contacts are separated 2 Location First determine the location of the Garage Door Sensor which should be placed e indoors only in a dry area e on the lower part of the garage door and its frame e away from extreme temperature sources radiators ovens stoves etc e in accordance with the diagrams below 3 Installation and Operation 3 1 Powering up the Garage Door Sensor e Remove the battery cover insert new batteries noting the polarity as shown in Fig 1 and replace the cover Requires 2 x AAA batteries e Low battery indication If the batteries need to be replaced the RED LED on the transmitter will flash slowly Fig 2 3 2 Installing the Garage Door Sensor e Mount the transmitter on a fixed flat surface on or close to the garage door frame using either double sided adhesive strips or the screws and wall plugs provided e Mount the transmitter contact onto the garage door frame liz e Unscrew and remove the jumper compartment cover on the rear of the sensor In the area marked Zone Code there are eight pairs of metal contacts with a number next to each e The number corresponding to the pair of contacts which is plugged with a jumper is the current zone e To re assign to a different zone simply unplug the jumper from its current zone and plug it across the contacts corresponding to the new zone number selected
