10. d follow these instructions Spring Loaded terminal holder 1 Insert the Pre Terminated Leads in the lower jaw of the Crimp Tool by feeding the bare wire end throught the holes as illustrated in Figure 2 You will need to gently pull the spring loaded holder downward to allow the crimps to seat properly The U on the crimp terminals must be open to the top and the leads pulled through until the terminals are firmly seated in the jaw Twisting the wire leads together behind the upper jaw helps to maintain alignment Figure 2 2 Place lamp over terminals in lower jaw carefully align ing the scribe line in the center of the lamp with the marks on the tool as illustrated in Figure 3 Align Lamp Seite 3 Close the tool carefully being certain to maintain lamp i alignment When the crimp has been made the tool will automatically release 4 Inspect the crimp One ter minal should pierce the lamp on either side of the scribe line and should be firmly folded over Figure 4 Hold the lamp up to light ensure there is no crossing or deformation of the line by the terminal 5 Slightly angle the leads away from each other to avoid the potential for a short circuit Then insulate the crimp w the Connector Sealing Tape being certain to cover all metal components Figure 5 Allow a 24 hours for tape to cure for Figure 4 Figure 5 Figure 6 maximum effectiveness 6 Make connection to distribu tion wiring with w
