3. save The download process will automatically start and close down when the download process has completed Downloaded files need extracting before they can be viewed Go to the directory where the files where downloaded to and locate the file case_ studies with the associated icon illustrated below Figure 13 Case Studies File And Icon eer l iY doy Pes mReader Mosso_error Double click the file and select Run when prompted If prompted to verify the publisher select run and then Extract Downloaded files will be extracted to the chosen directory and on completion the prompt All files extracted OK will be displayed select Ok to continue The files can now be viewed in the normal way using Adobe Acrobat Reader Page 11 of 22 Working With the Case Files in Adobe Acrobat There are two types of case files in the InContext web site files with comments and ones with no comments Files with comments can only be viewed where Staff position was chosen on registration Files without comments can be viewed by all registrants Not all features are supported in the commented files and where this is the case it is indicated by not available in commented files All case files in the InContext web site are in the PDF file format requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 or above to view the files All case files are password protected to prevent users from making any changes Text and images can be copied for inclusion into handbooks or othe
4. to Case Studies Remove All Download All Home About Us Hews FAQS Exemplar Contact Copyright 2005 Huddersfield University All rights reserved Site designed by Centrical and built by Intrica Individual files or the entire contents of the briefcase can be downloaded to the user s computer for inclusion as course materials or for posting to VLE in support of student learning Another search can be started by selecting the Back to Case Studies icon Downloading an Individual File Download individual files by selecting the Download Button located to the far right of the appropriate file with options presented to Open Save or Cancel the download If the Open option is selected the file will be opened on screen for viewing the file can be saved later by using the save options available in Adobe Acrobat Downloading All Files From the Briefcase All files in the briefcase can be downloaded as a single operation and this might be useful when all the files are in the same or similar topic area Select Download All located at the bottom of the list of files currently held in the Briefcase The multiple case notes are compressed to help reduce transfer time some files are quite large 20mgb in some Page 10 of 22 instances and require extracting before they can be viewed Users will be given the options of Run Save or Cancel The Save option is recommended select the directory to which the files are to be saved to then click

11. c key on the keyboard To capture an image to the clipboard select the Snapshot Tool and select the image in the usual way by pointing and holding down the left sided mouse button while drawing a box around the image to be captured When the left mouse key is released the image is copied automatically to clipboard Copy the image or text to the desired location in the usual way by pointing at the location in the file where the image or text is to be placed and right clicking and selecting Paste or Edit Paste or pressing and holding the Ctrl key and press the letter v key on the keyboard Files with Comments A number of case files on the InContext web site have been indexed by including tutor prompts Only staff registrants can view files with comments The tutor prompts are included to give academic staff some examples of the ways in which the case file can be used to support student learning The number of commented files is set to expand considerably in 2007 2008 as the InContext project team works towards indexing the entire stock of case notes Commented files are structured to include side by side pages with the case file on the left of the screen and associated tutor prompts located to the right Tutor prompts include a reference number that equates to the corresponding QAA Benchmark Statements for Nursing and this document can be viewed by selecting the link from the InContext web site Home Page or visiting the URL Or clicking the
