2. cables when re inserting the Trainer Pad tray lid Contact your local HeartSine Technologies distributor for replacement Trainer Pads when required www heartsine com When to recharge The removable HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer Pad Pak contains a rechargeable battery It is recommended that you ensure the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer Pad Pak is fully charged prior to any training activities When fully charged the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer will give you approximately 6 hours of usage before it needs to be recharged The HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer will monitor the capacity of the battery as it approaches depletion the Trainer will play the following message Warning Low battery If this warning is heard you may continue to use your HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer for a limited period of time If the trainer becomes completely depleted of power it will shut itself down At this point the Trainer Pad Pak must be recharged in order to continue using the device Extended operation between charges For extended use of the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer the device can be used with its charger attached This will allow the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer to operate longer than 6 hours between recharging To use the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer while attached to the mains electricity supply simply connect it to the charger as per the instructions contained in the Charging Process The HeartSine
3. samaritan PAD Trainer will charge as you are using it If it is necessary to provide extended periods of training where connection mains electricity is not possible HeartSine Technologies recommend you purchase a second Trainer Pad Pak for your device this will allow you to remove the depleted Trainer Pad Pak and replace it with a second charged Trainer Pad Pak If you require a second Trainer Pad Pak contact your HeartSine Technologies authorised distributor There are no user serviceable parts inside your HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer Trainer Pad Pak or charger These products should not be opened In the unlikely event of a malfunction please contact your distributor immediately PAD TRAINER Charging Process The HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer Pad Pak contains a rechargeable battery It is recommended that you ensure the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer Pad Pak is fully charged prior to training activities To safely recharge the HeartSine samaritan PAD Trainer follow the instructions given below u Insert the charger adaptor into the socket on the Trainer Pad Pak as shown in the picture Ensure the adaptor is fully inserted Plug the charger into the mains electricity supply Where required an adaptor will have been provided with your charger lf necessary use the adaptor to plug the charger into your mains supply Check that the red light on the charger is on This light indicates that the Trai
4. will now default to the selected volume Changing the Language 1 Press and hold the Pause Button At the same time press the On Off Button Keep the Pause Button pressed until you hear Setup Mode 2 Press the Pause Button to change the language The trainer will say Call for medical assistance in the languages programmed in the device from our language library For a list of available languages contact HeartSine Technologies 3 Press the Pause Button again to change the language If the pause button is not pressed to change the language within 10 seconds the HeartSine samaritan PAD trainer will repeat the message in the current language 3 times and shut down When the desired language is selected do not press any buttons The trainer will repeat the message three times emit 3 short beeps and shut down If the trainer is turned on after the above is carried out it will deliver voice prompts in the selected language Using the Trainer PADs The Trainer Pads are located inside the Trainer Pad tray Pull the green tab on the Trainer Pad tray lid and remove The Pads can then be peeled from their liner and placed on a mannequin as indicated on the electrode The Trainer Pads are designed to be a single use component They can be replaced by disconnecting from the connector on the Pad When replaced the Trainer Pads can be returned to the Trainer Pad Tray Take care not to crush the Trainer Pads or
