Cell Heater LCM 8716 H Manual ALFF Engineering Gomweg 7 CH 8915 Hausen am Albis Switzerland phone 41 44 77 66776 fax tal 24 77 6G 77 7 email info alff engineering ch web www alff engineering ch ALFF Engineering Description of the Cell Heater LCM 8716 H The Cell Heater LCM 8916 H consists of a container which accepts the cell delivered with the Conductivity Meter For Liquids LCM 8716 The air gap between container and cell is small no liquid contact media is required On the rear side one plug is for powering the unit with mains and a second connector for connecting the precise 100 Ohm RTD thermometer coming with the Cell Heater LCM 8916 H On the front side a Temperature Controller is used for indicating the actual temperature and for regulating the heating power A switch labeled HEATER ON turns on the heating By setting this switch to the off position the Temperature Controller can be used as a simple termometer All the operating parameters of the Temperature Controller are factory preset for best regulating properties Operating the Cell Heater LCM 8716 H cc The setpoint temperature can be viewed by pressing Controller at least three seconds on the Temperature By pressing both and A the setpoint temperature can be increased and by pressing both and Y the setpoint temperature can be decreased The maximum heating rate is around 4 C min Please allow 2 to 1 ho2. ur of heating up time from 20 C to 90 C This slow heating provides a perfectly homogeneous temperature in all the cell CAUTION Hot Oil can cause severe burnings Use this heater only on a secure bench No loose cables must hang around and unauthorized persons must be kept off Advanced settings The Temperature Controller allows the setting of a multitude of parameters Nomally the factory preset values shouldn t be changed one single faulty setting may result in a Heater out of action A detailed description can be found in the CAL3200 AUTOTUNE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER OPERATING MANUAL coming with the Cell Heater LCM 8716 H Copyright ALFF Engineering Switzerland 2
