XG will be shown on the dialog box of Sound Information The Sound Information in Figure 3 1 indicates that the AC XG is currently configured with the following settings Sound Blaster Pro I O 2205 IRQ5 and DMA 1 FM I O 388h Master Volume PCM Out and CD volumes of AC XG are all 0 0dB Line In and Mic are muted 3 3 Volume Adjustment In the dialog box of Volume Adjustment use the up down arrow keys to select LEFT or RIGHT channel Then use the left right arrow keys to change the volume of the selected channel Descriptions for keystrokes m Turn on off the MUTE option In Figure 3 2 MUTE Is selected with X shown When MUTE is selected the volume gauges of both channels become gray and inactive Figure 3 2 Master Volume Adjustment Mute MASTER LEET RIGHT MUTE LOCK I Turn on off the LOCK option LOCK is a command to lock the current volume levels of both left and right channels When the volume levels of both channels are locked volume changes made to both channels are identical Turn off the LOCK option when you want to make volume changes individually to the left and right channels Copyright C YAMAHA Corporation 1999 All rights reserved 4 AC XG CODEC Test Program Ver 1 00 Figure 3 3 Master Volume Adjustment LOCK LEFT Fz 0 0dB 20 MUTE LOCK p Turn on off the 20dB option The 2006 option will be shown when MIC VOLUME is selected When 20dB is selected

SetupAC User s Guide YAMAHA Corporation Version 1 00 July 30 1999 AC XG CODEC Test Program Ver 1 00 1 Descritpiton SetupAC exe is a software application required when running AC XG under DOS It runs following executions e Embedding FM amp Sound Blaster e Testing sound output of FM amp Sound Blaster e Controlling mixer 2 Getting Started To start SetupAC type the command below from the command line SetupAC s Note is an option and can be omitted Refer to 3 Usage for how to use the SetupAC utility O assa After SetupAC installs FM amp Sound Blaster it sets up volumes of AC XG based on the settings in the acxg ini and closes The settings will be shown on a dialog box When SetupAC is started with this option the configuration of AC XG cannot be modified EO Display the help file Copyright C YAMAHA Corporation 1999 All rights reserved 2 AC XG CODEC Test Program Ver 1 00 3 Usage Figure 3 1 shows the dialog box of AC XG DOS Setup Utility when SetupAC is started without any options Copyright C orporation 15
