STEP Translators User Guide A 9 Appendix B List of Messages This appendix provides a list of the messages that appear when using the PUTAP203 PUTAP214 GETAP203 and GETAP214 commands e Message Types e Message List STEP Translators User Guide B 1 List of Messages Message Types Message Types The messages associated with AP203 and AP214 translators are of the following types Fatal A problem occurred from which the translator could not recover such as an I O error or insufficient memory Eror A problem occurred within the translator for example an entity had bad data or a non application subsystem failed Usually the translator can run to completion after this type of message Waming A problem from which the translator could recover occurred for example there was missing data that the translator could supply or there were unsupported entities of which the user has been informed The translator continues to completion after this type of message Status This message provides general information such as that a specific file has been successfully parsed or formatted or the translation has been successfully completed General This message is the same as the one above except for the fact that an associated banner is not issued The format of bannered non general message types is as follows xxx Message_type Name_of_message Message text one or more lines where the e Message_type is F
